    4 Recreativo supporters died in a bus crash on their way to Madrid last night. For this reason the club have asked for tonight's league match at the Bernabeu to be postponed. Real Madrid said they will accept whatever decision the league committee will make.

    I can see why they would want to show compassion but it does seem a bit OTT

    The league has decided that the match will be played as scheduled. Real Madrid are going to postpone the tribute to Cannavaro for his individual awards that was scheduled for prior to the match. Instead there will be a period of silence and the players will wear black armbands. In addition, Real Madrid is going to donate all of the gate receipts from tonight's match to the families of those who passed away and/or were injured in the accident.
