What happened? Anyone watched this game? I missed it. I was told GOLTV's Omar Salazar and Oscar Restrepo talked about Beckham's $100 million insurance policy.

Salazar said during the game that the policy is to make sure Beckham's insured "in case something happens to his football career". Restrepo immediately said "in case something happens to his marketing career" or something to that effect. Shocked

Did Beckham play that bad? Oh you know it's bad when commentators and announcers think a player is a joke on the pitch. It's alright for fans like us to criticize any player, after all we pay. However, when announcers/commentators publicly question a player's skills, that's bad. Shocked <Ale>

Kudos to Recreativo Huelva. They made their fans proud! <Ale>

Great to see a club like Sevilla top with their sensible transfer policy - 5 points ahead of the overhyped clowns they call Los Galacticos.

Oh man! Sevilla spanked Deportivo. I know what you mean about Capello, but playing Beckham while benching Robinho and Reyes. scratch

Effenberg raised a good point. Could it be that Capello was told to play Becks so that he could sign the new contract? Biggrin <Ale>

He's still not starting - they can't drop Fabiano or Kanoute while they are scoring can they ?

Chevanton has scored practically every time he's played - I'd take him over Rooney any day ok

Yo LRD! Kanouté and Fabiano are scoring like crazy. Sevilla have a real "world class" striker sitting on the bench. Sevilla may go all the way, pretty deep squad to duke it out with Barça. <Ale>

i dont belive in sevilla. i think they are great esp against the big teams but im not sure they are mentally strong enough. barca has won the last two years so they have it. real have some players that are experinced enough but we lack quality. i want to see what happens when sevilla is league leader for some weeks. then will we see the true face. i could be wrong as i didnt belive in real sociedad either when they were the suprise leaders.

They just didn't want Ronaldinho winning it again. Dinho was awesome leading Barça in winning CL, had a bad WC, slow start to the season (expected!), and has been awesome again to close out the year. NO PLAYER has been better than Ronaldinho in 2006. NO ONE! <Ale>

You could just see all them red faces who voted for Cannavaro based on those 4 weeks in the WC. Biggrin <Ale>

I think Cristiano has played better, but ronaldinho won big trophys so he deserved to be ahead of him. But cannavaro lol!

Did 4 Huelva supporters died before the game? anyway Madrid are shite, another year without any silverware. What is the problem between Diarra and Capello?

Almost as ridiculous as awarding Brazil the 'Team of the Year' award.
