So how do you explain loosing 3-1 to a nonexiting team?

It was a good experience for a bunch of Peruvian kids playing against many La Liga regulars. This wasn't even a Peru "B" team. The best players never came close to play in this game.

Firstly, the starters Pizarro, Farfán, Vargas, Cominges, Guerrero, Rodriguez, Acasiete, Hidalgo...were out. Then the next available best group of players were playing in the Peru Final last night (Alianza Lima-Cienciano). In reality it was really a Peru "C" team with only two days practice. The result's not important, the kids got their feet wet and that's good. A good experience for them. I was surprised when they scored the first goal. It was a beautiful team goal with lots of quick passing. Biggrin <Ale>

This matches are a waste of time.. I guess some people feel a slight nationalistic (regional) pride, but Euskadi beat Serbia 4-0 so they can't have been taken this too seriousely.

Alianza Lima (Apertura '06 champs) 3-1 Cienciano (Clausura '06 champs) second leg result. Cienciano had won first game 1-0.

Alianza Lima 2007 champs! Biggrin <Ale>

The Valencianos were happy to have their team playing...it seemed that way. It was a good experience for Peru's younger players too, but I agree with you in that overall it's probably a waste of time. <Ale>
