paradoxical, if Chelsea can catch United then surely Liverpool can catch Chelsea. And if Chelsea catch United and Liverpool catch Chelsea then Liverpool catch United. Then down to the wire who has the fittest, freshest squad? Who has the big game players and experience?

Its really 7 points when you look at the goal difference.

At the moment United are +14 up on Chelsea in goal difference, but if United were to lose a couple of games, and Chelsea have a couple of big wins (which I could see happening, providing the defence doesn't leak goals) the goal difference should be pretty minimal.

United are definitely favourites now though, even with Cech and Terry back in the next couple of weeks.

Well unless we start losing games left, right and centre then I can't see you making up the goal difference, even though losing those games would make goals difference immaterial.

We really should wallop some team by about 5 or 6 goals soon, we miss more chances per goal than probably anyone, maybe only Arsenal come close.

The Redbloods are a more potent goal machine....the Chelski rely on Dirtier Drogba who is one dive away from a red card in any given game!

Cech is key. I hope he makes a full recovery (and sign for a team in Italy or Spain) but you have to be careful. The physical damage may have healed, but he may have been affected phsychologically - will his bravery etc be affected?

If Maureen's smart he'll pick up another keeper just in case.

Be honest, how many times have you watched us?

It was only yesterday you said you'd never realised how good we were.

Saha and Rooney will both miss on average about 2/3 good chances a game each.

Turned the corner now though. I wouldn't be surprised if we pick up maximum points from all of our remaining games.

Thats not bad from us to be fair. Considering we have had our fist choice marksman out injured for a good part of the season so far.

I'm certain our scoring rate has been improving steadily all season and has improved hugely in recent games, obviously six against Blackburn and four today helps that stat.

I would also agree we miss more chances than anyone. It's not just the number of good chances we miss that is frustrating, it's the unbelievable shooting opportunities we have where the player then passes (Hleb against Blackburn and today for prime examples). I don't think any team has missed more goal-scoring chances than we did in the first half at home to Moscow this season, it was inexplicable how we didn't score.
