Can Liverpool overtake Chelsea?
Following Liverpool's hilarious yet quite predictable victory over Chelsea (considering Chelsea's lineup), can they overhaul the 5 points deficit and finish above them this season?

Depends whether they do the ususal and become inconsistent after a good win, or stay on track. I voted no, i reckon Chelsea will turn it around.

easy, the only real challenge is catching United. It may go down to the last game.

Yeh but the gap is too big to United, and with the form that United are in, I can't see them dropping that amount of points. So yes, they CAN overtake Chelsea, but I can't see them winning the league.

United still has its thoughest hurdles to overcome, so its anybody game really. Definitely three horse race if they drop points tomorrow.

No chance, terry and carvalho back next game. cech back today. they would finish above pool and arsenal even if they were 5 points behind.

FFS Parks, quit being such a baby!
Tell me one thing from that post that isn't true.
Besides I also have my pre-season predictions to stick with.

I reckon chelsea will still win the league. We'll deal with united tomorrow and the gap will still remain 6 points which is not insurmountable if chelsea get their injured players back.

I agree with Agooner. I would still put my money on Chelsea to be winners.

Re: Can Liverpool overtake Chelsea?
The thing that annoys me regarding Liverpool is the "what if" factor. OK, it's not necessarily said by their own fans (most of the time it's said by the commentators in fact), but every season since the start of the Premiership we have heard "If Liverpool hadn't had that bad run of form, they could seriously be in with a really good shout of winning the title".
Andy Gray said it again today, and no doubt it will be said at some other point during the season.

Hahaha.
Like Obi's stats last season.
If the season was only the last 24 games, we would of won it.
If If If.

... Funny that. I seem to recall you constantly pointing out that United were "the best team for the last half of the season"
It remains true. Our players haven't had a proper summers rest in 3 seasons now, they'll have that this summer.
If, by some minor miracle, another team manages to win it this year. It'll be ours next.
