All that talent to create, to pass, to cross, to score some goals, to assist them goals to Martins, yet he's been wasted at right fullback. Shocked

I understand Newcastle ran out of right fullbacks, but COME ON NOW! What's Newcastle waiting for to sign a decent fullback? scratch

Doh You seriously think he's still got the speed to play right wing in the premiership? Milner is first choice for that position now and rightly so, he's the future. Ale

Milner is quality, to be fair. The new McManaman... maybe. Solano should be tried out in the Alonso role IMHO. It's just a shame you don't have any decent rightbacks so he can get a game somewhere else.

Milner can cross for shite! He's only there because there are no fullbacks left. I'd play Milner further up the field. He can shoot, but he's not smart enough to play midfield. I'd play Martins and Milner up front when Carr returns. Solano in midfield is worth one goal for Newcastle already. I'd take 3-2 wins anyday instead of 2-2 draws like today. <Ale>

I agree Milner's a decent player. The future's bright for him. Somehow he seems like a 'tweener. He's not really a forward or a right midfielder. He can't cross, and if you can't cross you can't play right midfield. I think he can be great in a supporting role like helping Martins up front. <Ale>

Riiiight.... so you would put THE worst right back in the league straight back into the team, and you would drop either Dyer or Sibierski to play Milner upfront, someone that has scored only 5 career goals for us.

And Milner can cross(just not aswell as Solano) as we've seen this season, with both feet aswell.

We have no problem scoring goals and this would only weaken the defence even more, thanks but no thanks. Rolling Eyes

Solano's the perfect example of why Beckham should have never ever contemplated coming back to the premiership. He simply isn't fast enough and therefore regardless of his ability offensively he's still not going to be first choice.

No one is getting blamed here though, Solano has said he's happy to play at right back. It's just Puro that cares as Solano's goals and assists stats mean more to him than Newcastles results. <Ale>

Good interview with Farfán in voetbal international he said...

"Mine, Guerrero's and Pizarro's results have had a big impact in Peru. We can be proud of that"

"The football situation in Peru is not good at the moment but...

Now we have players at PSV, HSV and Bayern, that makes an impression in Peru and outside the country. Those clubs give our football a better name and that's more important than MONEY..."

He didn't say a word of Solano at the HUGE Newcastle.... scratch Did he referred with "money" at the EPL and especially Newcastle in this case...? Suspect

I'm not so sure - I think Stelios had only 12 months left on his contract at the time and had been making a few motions towards leaving on a free, so you may well have accepted it due to having little choice. If this is right then Stelios will have signed a new contract in the meantime.

I could be remembering the wrong details, or the right details but the wrong transfer.

Think it was something like that. We tried to get him on the cheap and he chose to sign a new contract with them.

yeah milner's good. shame newcastle screwed us over for signing him in the summer. although i think that was boro's fault for not letting them sign viduka. or something.

solano's great too. wish he'd stayed at villa.

I like Milner - one of the few English players who can beat a man with skill and agility rather than acceleration, good on either wing, obviously has a shot on him when he bothers to use it.

Sure, will play for England. The problem for him is that Downing and Lennon are apparently ahead of him at the moment, and with Gerrard apparently playing on one side they're all competing for the left midfield position.

Solano's got 2-3 good productive years left in him. Bayern indeed could use his talents. I know Solano would LOVE the chance to play CL again after that old fart Bobby Robson crushed Newcastle's hopes of CL play when he sold Nobby to Aston Villa when Nobby was at the top of his game. What a fucking MORON! Doh Laugh Ale

That old fool ended Newcastle's run in CL when he got rid of Nobby. That brilliant move cost Robson his job as well. What a knucklehead! I would LOVE to tell that old bastard in his face how he KILLED Newcastle with that move. Doh Ale
