    my dear chaps and chapesses

I fear we have a case of "much ado about nothing" on our hands

what exactly do you think is going to change under Platini ?????

    quite possibly: VERY LITTLE

remember: his manifesto is one thing, implementing it , rather different though

Platini is no European football Czar; decisions at UEFA are made BY COMMITTEE

Blatter himself wanted to have a World Cup every TWO years

he wanted to get rid of national anthems

he wanted to undress female footballers; well, more or less

    ....

Platini played to the "Small Countries-Gallery" and got elected

    we'll see what happens next

the most likely change under Platini seems to be the European Cup

he wants to increase the number of participating countries from 16 to 24

also, behind the scenes organisational changes could be in the pipeline

HR stuff; UEFA could become more French; major sponsorship contracts could go "outre-Rhin"

in the end though Platini's hands are not only tied, he will know where his Croissant is jammed

bear in mind that people who polarize are the ones least likely to change things; they tend to generate what we Germans call "Fundamentalopposition"

According to ricky, football has steadily been ruined ever since it was invented.

year on year it gets more commercial

I hope he get a chance to change this terrible situation created by Johansson and it is good he has ideas about football while Johansson only cares about money (=English Wink )!

But I am realistic enough that It won't be a revolution!

I would like to see how the 3 team cl thing goes. It could be interesting, sort of like a fa cup romance on a grander scale. Or then again it could be pastings galore and make things even worse. Would also improve the Uefa cup. Give a spare spot to the winner of the cu as well.

Otto hits the nail on the head, it will make absolutely no difference, the same old farts on the committees will decide everything.

The Holland delegation (the fools) chose for Johansson. They find Platini some one with NO initiatives... Erm

The financial man at the UEFA was a Dutchman (Jeu Sprengers) .... He lost his job today I think!.....
