Mendieta to Real Sociedad?

Hadn't seen this rumour before. I didn't think he'd been playing that much for Middlesborough so I don't know how much he will help la Real. They will need the Mendieta of about 7 years ago if they are going to avoid relegation.

Was a great player between 1997 and 2001. Really was never the same player after he left Valencia though...
