Surprised no one has posted on this issue yet...so apparently the English FA chose Stuart Pearce for the job of Under 21 manager, and he accepted too, only for Man. City to now place a temporary block on his taking up of this 2nd job.

What does everyone think? Firstly, is he the right choice for U-21 manager (almost certainly being groomed as future England manager), and secondly, do you think Man. City are right to block the move (with the club's interests at heart. ie. can he cope with both jobs)?

he's under contract at Man City, if he wants to do the job Man City should get the wages.

To be honest, this might be the escape route City are after. He's not taking City anywhere fast, he's assembled a squad of ragamuffins who are never going to be anything but perenial relegation condenders.

Maybe the U21 job will do him good, I don't know. The English FA are wankers, of this there is no doubt.

I think he should concentrate on one job only. He has introduced a few decent youngsters at City. He has not been the quick success which he was expected to be after his start but i think he should be given time. Its his first managarial job FFS. But in all honesty he should concentrate on just one job and if its not city then it should definitely be the under 21 team. His track record, albiet short, has been fairly decent with youngsters. Micah Richards, Ireland (he is not bad), SWP at city during his time was even better then during Keegan's time.
