apparently the deal involving Mascherano has found some faults...about ownership and registration...

if there are any rule breaks then this could be the case...

1)Mascherano will not be allowed to move to Liverpool...
2)West Ham could be hit with a point deduction

Fuck sakes, is this not the most tiresome transfer target in the world? They're simply putting off the inevitable and ruining a players career whilst doing so.

He's now a registered Liverpool player and Fifa themselves have backed the rule. Even if they don't let play - which is all they can prevent at this point if I've understood this correctly - he is still on a year and a half loan deal. Come the summer they'll just ratify the deal.

Why wait? As for docking West Ham points - Bollocks. Hopefully it's nothing more than a cheap threat.

Romário also has been allowed to play for more than two clubs, the fact that they were on different continents and their seasons overlapped made it an easy decission for FIFA to make.
As for the breaking of premiership rules, if the rules are broken, clubs in the relegation battle with Wet H*m could kick up am almighty fuss, if there's a chance of them being docked points.
With the season they are having, it almost makes one feel sorry for them.

have everton secured fernades yet? they were having similar registration problems weren't they?

Everton are moaning about the Fernandes deal being checked I thought? They'll probably add in a few moans about how the ban from Europe cost them a European cup aswell, they always do.

If they're checking the Mascherano deal they should check the Tevez deal while they're at it. Of course, they won't.


I wouldn't worry too much about it yet. It's all speculation at this point and you can guarentee if something happens both clubs will atleast take it to appeal.

they are checking the Tevez deal too....But I'm pretty sure the deals are completely different...hence why Mascherano doesn't play and Tevez does.

I'm not going to worry at the moment anyway, not like we've gone on a points bonanza with the pair of them!

The problem is that, given the general incompetence of the administrating bodies, if you play Mascherano before all this shit is sorted out that you may be docked any points that you win, should they find against you and should the appeal not go your way.

Even though it is absolutely stupid because FIFA have had any number of opportunities to stop players being part-owned by private companies, or to investigate these transfers back in the summer/autumn.

If the English are so powerful, how come they are just about the only country to be banned from European competition for some years? How come they are always threatened to be thrown out of World and European Cups due to their hooligans, when others such as the Dutch are just as bad but nothing is said to them?

Its all about the money nowadays.... You know that the FA knows that the FIFA knows that and the UEFA knows that!

In recent history every team whether rich or poor has got off leniently for hooliganism, racism etc. (look at eastern european countries, and spain, Itlay etc.). It made no difference at all how rich or poor they were.

Finally UEFA decide to properly punish someone, unfortunately you seem to have some kind of victim mentality. I am afraid that if you do something wrong expect to get punished, and guess what, the punishment might be harsher than have been given to other people. Is it UEFA's fault? No, it's the Feyenoord hooligans fault (with of course police incompetence).

Netherlands only has club hooligans, no oranje hooligans.

Even the Dutch club hooligans have done nothing close to the what English hooligans did (and do).

I was at the Feyenoord terrace when it was attacked by Spuds hooligans in 83. 40 (FORTY) SEVERELY INJURED. Lots of people stabbed (by ENGLISH). If you add up all Dutch club Hooliganism it's less than that single incident. Only riots with the police, only minor injuries.

National team nothing, apart from maybe 2 drunk people fighting in a pub. ZILCH. UEFA/FIFA gave us awards for being the best fans. National team fans are like the Scots and the Irish, they just want to have a good time.

On the other hand there are still problems around England matches. Charleroi, Albufeira, WC2006. Even racism v Henke Larsson!
