Wow, judging by this game, here's hoping Liverpool bring more of the same to Camp Nou in 10 days time. The Newcastle midfield was passing the ball around for fun, I've never seen the team play so fluidly since the good days under Bobby Robson!!! Imagine Deco and Xavi playing pass-pass-pass-pass-pass while Liverpool fall deeper and deeper back into their penalty box Biggrin

Gerrard is not smart enough/doesn't have the technical skills to run a midfield correctly. Liverpool will play lots better when Xabi returns to the lineup.

I just found out about Babayaro's brother. Damn! Babayaro showed more balls than any fucko criticizing his performance today. Not only he isn't match fit yet, but he had the death of his brother. With all that stacked up against him, Babayaro did fine. I don't fault him for the goal, that was all Harper's poor clearance. Kudos to Babayaro! <Ale>

Are you willing to debate that?

Fabregas hasn't started three games this season. He has appeared in every game. In the games he's not started.

    Fulham 2-1 Arsenal
    Wigan 0-1 Arsenal (Fabregas Assist)
    Sheffield United 1-0 Arsenal

Alonso hasn't started four games this season. In each of these games he did not come on as substitute. In the games he's not started.

    Sheffield United 1-1 Liverpool
    Liverpool 1-0 Manchester City
    Liverpool 0-0 Portsmouth
    Newcastle United 2-1 Liverpool

    Bad injuries. Whistle

WTF are you talking about? I'm not talking about Fabregas.
I'm talking about the fact that Clichy, Gallas, Eboue, Senderos, Henry, Ljungberg, Hleb and Van Persie have all been injured and missed matches this season.

Chelsea's defence? Liverpool's midfield? Everyone suffers from injuries over the season.

Let's assume Fabregas/Alonso had played every game and that model was true the table looks like:-

    Man Utd 27 66
    Chelsea 27 60
    Liverpool 27 60
    Arsenal 25 52

They've had awful injuries, clearly. That's why their not at the top, it's not why their 14 points behind at best.
