Could somebody tell me something about this player? It seems Bayern are getting serious about him. Would he be a good fit? How versatile is he? What are his strengths? All I could find was a (pretty) free-kick on youtube.

José Ernesto Sosa is an Argentine football midfielder. He was born on June 19, 1985, in the city of Carcaraña, Santa Fe Province. He currently plays for Estudiantes de La Plata in the Argentine first division.
Sosa has played for Estudiantes since 2002. The undisputable highlight of his career to date was helping Estudiantes to win their first league title since 1983 by scoring the equalising goal from a free kick against Boca Juniors in the 2006 Apertura final playoff game.
After the game, his manager Diego Simeone recommended Sosa to S.S. Lazio. It was hinted in the press that several European clubs were interested in Sosa, whose price tag could be in the vicinity of € 10 000 000.
So far SL Benfica and FC Bayern are the highest bidders alongside Atletico Madrid as AC Milan have cooled their interest. It is said in the press that FC Bayern has an option to buy Sosa in summer 2007.

he's young and still got plenty to learn, he's just been consolidating his play a bit less than a year...
I don't see him going at 21 to Germany to plñay football, I think he would take it badly...if he does go then he should go to a small mid table club in spain or italy where the change wouldn't be big

Bayern are changing into a young team though. It might be good for him as a fresh start with other young, talented players and only a few established players. And Demichelis would, of course, be there to help him.

He's a fantastic player technically, in a great team at the moment, bit early to move to a European giant.
