I'd say Scholes and Makoun were about level.
Scholes got slightly the better of the first half, Makoun got slightly the better of the second half.

Still have some United fans and Paddy Crerand on MUTV saying Giggs should be one of our players of the season.
He was out of this World for about 6 weeks, then been inconsistent to shit there after.
Thats a winger, striker and central midfielder WE MUST GET this summer now.

Still wouldn't mind Darren Bent as back up to Saha. Groom him.

plus lille missed the best chance of the game and a few of their other chances were edited out.
uefa's response to all this should be fun to see
and all the lille player had to do was make any sort of decent contact either side of the keeper. it was a shocking missRonaldo chance was the best of the game. All he had to do was take one small touch round the keeper and pass it in,
in that case, so were united'sinstead he whacks it as usual. Lille's other chances were nothing really.

Should have been 1-0 for Lille.
Nothing about our penalty then? Which was a clear handball.
Just as we are going on ref decisions, we may as well bring that up as well.
I honestly completely missed whatever incident you may be talking about.
anyone else know?
He's talking about the one where the Lille defender put his arm up very high with his hand dangerously close to the ball but without ever actually touching it.
As a Man U fan he would have come to expect to see them given.

In the European Cup quarterfinal in 1991 between AC Milan and Marseille, the French club had a late 1-0 lead when a stadium floodlight went out. Milan left the pitch and never returned, as team executive Adriano Galliani declared conditions too dark. The team was banned from European competitions for a year and Galliani received a two-year ban.
Maybe too long ago for some to remember?

Larrsson shouldnt start aginst a physical team again, he didnt win one header, in fact none of the attacking players won a header until Saha came on.
We need a winger and a striker this summer.
Ps we were shocking last night and I hope we dont play that way in the next round, thinking we will get away with it again.
