I don't know if it will be the best, but it will still be a very strong team. A couple of players might be rested, like Parker and maybe Dyer. <Ale>

Solano makes his 300th Newcastle appearance tonight, and we get presented with the Intertoto. cheers Laughing

Hopefully Solano's captain and lifts the Intertoto. Puro would have a field day after all, he'd have lifted more trophies than Shearer had at Newcastle. Laughing

Will keep an eye on the Ajax - Bremen score, hope Werder will be annoyed by the way they're treated in Amsterdam & really go for it. Ajax suggested line-up is very attacking, could be funny, something like Cruyff's testimonial v Bayern (who were pissed about the way they were treated), 1-8 would do...

Anyone know if NUFC will play their best line-up?

    Team details

Newcastle (probable, 4-4-2): Harper; Solano, Taylor, Bramble, Babayaro; Milner, Butt, Dyer, Duff; Sibierski, Martins.

Zulte Waregem (probable, 4-5-1): Merlier; De Brul, Leleu, Dindeleux, Reina; Verschuere, D'Haere, Sergeant, Van der Marliere, Meert; Matthys.

    Referee: A Genov (Bulgaria).

Leverkusen are playing crap in Blackburn. Not that Blackburn are a threat though.

Didn't know that Voronin is going to Liverpool this summer. Quite a surprise really. Sure, a good squad player, works a lot for the team, but not clinical (at all).

Cant wait to see van Gaals face again when the match is over. Only Feyenoord can accomplish something in Europe. The rest of the teams are dire. Psv with the 2 Dutchies, I dont consider Dutch anyway..

Barbarez is definitely past it. Can't believe that HSV fans still cry a river about losing him to Leverkusen last year.

Yo Van gaal, you motherfucker! do something. Daddy Cool is captain of my fantasy team. All out on attack now change 4-3-2-1 to at least 2-3-5.

AZ who never lost at home in Europe are 0-2 at half time (Fenerbahce deserve their lead). 1st leg was 3-3.

Free tickets for season ticket holders and rediciously early kick off time. Pretty much ensuring half the fans weren't going to rush around to be their for first 10-15 minutes.

They are/were. Since the potential new wave of T.V. money some clubs have actually promised price cuts realising that their not going to survive with their minute attendances in the long term.

Really? Werder is not a big enough name to fill their stadium then I guess.

In Germany, only highly unattractive UEFA Cup matches against small clubs (the Odense type of clubs) don't fill the stadia. We were sold out for the Ajax match, and I expect this for every upcoming match, should we stay in the competition.
