    Blackburn - Leverkusen 0-0 HT

Rather boring match so far, Leverkusen were improving at the end of the half. A draw would be enough for them to go through, and Blackburn don't have been threatening them enough so far.

Those Israeli teams are surprisingly strong this year. Don't think that it will be a walk in the park for England in the Euro qualification next month.

In England it's simply small cup games which cause strangely low attendances for the majority of clubs. It's either Northerns claiming they can't afford to go to extra games or Southerners complaining Kenyon's ripping them of whenever it comes to cup games. They simply need to offer cheaper prices if they want a cup atmosphere.

Can't judge the quality of the Israeli clubs or national team. But I think Russia/Hiddink & Croatia will cause England plenty of problems.

if they would have been KO-ed Van Gaal would be totally repsonsible he let them play 4-3-2-1 the 1st half which they're not used to. Don't know why, they were doing fine lately. After he changed things back to the way the used to be, AZ were much better the 2nd half.

Leverkusen lucky now, Blackburn missed another good chance. But most of the time, Leverkusen is playing quite clever, passing the ball around nicely, attacking Blackburn in their own half already and keeping the pressure high.

Blackburn dominating now. Good idea by Skibbe to bring Barnetta, Leverkusen need to fight back, they can't play defensively, or they'll lose.

Utter blunder in the first half by Van Gaal, why tinker in such an important match ?!

    contemplations :

    * AZ always have an off day in Europe, lets hope this was it.

    * The difference between the first and second half : playing Demi de Zeeuw as CM. De Zeeuw was MOTM, when will we finally see him in Oranje ?

    * Fenerbace looked like a class side in both matches, can play some very attractive football ok

    * The ENTERTAINMENT KINGS of Europe did it again : a match with four goals Ale
