Five truly are dire. Tim Sherwood was the final straw. Noticed he hasnt been invited back for his opinion

Was it only me who thought the game changed as soon as Tainio went off? He was excellent in midfield. Not a criticism of Huddlestone but he didn't have the same presence at all.

Anyway, good game. Well done Spurs. <Ale>

Great performance apart from 5 mins of madness. Rolling Eyes

The penalty that wasn't, and the freekinck which led to their goal wasn't either.

MOTM: Zokora - really drove the team forward, and was combative in midfield. Really wish he'd shoot more often instead of carrying it to the edge of the box and just laying it off, though.

Tainio was excellent as well. Don't really agree about his substitution having a negative impact though, the UNIT did well too. One lovely bit of skill to dink it over one player, before sending a 50-yard crossfield pass right onto Lennon's instep.

Nice to see Aaron "End product" Lennon creating goals yet again. Lovely dinked ball to Keane (wonderful Volley, better than the 2 at Fulham), and creating the 2nd goal. He was poor otherwise, though.

Keane showed great composure to get the winner at the end. Berbatov was *IMMENSE* Wink in the 1st half, shame about the finishing. Guess the system didn't work for him too well in the 2nd half though, did it Obi?

@ all these attempts to discredit our run:

Been to Leverkusen & Besiktas & twatted them both. Also were excellent against Club Brugge. You can't tell me that Newcastle haven't had a "bye", who the hell are Zulte Waregem?

Zulte are the Belgian cup champions and are a solid enough side, we earned the easy draw though after finishing top of the group of death. And it's hardly a bye when it's an extra 180+ minutes of our players running around, they didn't get a rest like Tottenhams. Beskitas was a tricky tie but beating Leverkusen doesn't impress me a great deal, Blackburn could well have beaten them.
