Do these things actually happen in the MLS? can it be true? or is it all just page-filling Cr@p the press comes up with?

They've done something similar already with Chivas USA

OH FFS! Why oh why! L.A. were playing good football without Beckham, and actually fought their way back winning 6 straight matches giving themselves a chance to advance to the playoffs.

Today in their last match they again played Beckham (he played as a sub last game and couldn't win), Becks gave the ball away all the time, and again couldn't win of course. LA's season's over (I'm sure the players thought they had the playoffs in the bag if Becks remained injured), but I sure hope LA sold many T-shirts. Biggrin <Ale>

And to add insult to injury for Galaxy, the relatively low key, but better football signing, Cuahtemohoc Blanco, has been a big success for his team!

Yo kas! you follow MLS some. Why did LA do that shite? Why would they want to jeopardize their season like that, just to accomodate Beckham? Don't they know he gives the ball away all the fucking time? scratch

They were doing great without Becks. Now, they allowed him back these last two game and of course they couldn't win shite anymore.

You're right, Cuauhtemoc Blanco was the opposite for Chicago. He's been a huge success there. <Ale>

I think they just brought Beckham back because they thought he could make a difference on setpieces...but when he's not fully fit it doesn't make sense to play him. Anyway, I think this will become a common occurrence, because a deal like this means Beckham will always play.

I agree with you. LA's management probably thought Becks could make the difference in set pieces. However, their whole midfield play was shite with him playing, their midfield play was sacrificed so Becks could "win them" a game 1-0 via dead ball situation???

That's just INSANE! LA were good two goals for with the team they had without Beckham. I'm sure the LA players are fucking incandescent with rage now that their season was cut short just to accomodate Becks. Did you see their faces at the end of the match looking towards Beckham!. Biggrin <Ale>

I think he has much more to offer then most think. He showed that he was very capable of very good perfomances in the Copa America. Things are going to be different though playing with players that are less capable. Even you yourself Jens would improve as a footballer playing alongside Riquelme. If Veron buckles down and takes this seriously then he is capable of putting MLS up a class. Judging from his history though, I doubt that will happen and I suspect he is just there for his last pay day.

Sometimes check what the american media are saying about Beckham, but apart from that couldn't give a $h!t about the MLS <Ale>
