    What's this mate? Looks like both English clubs who "never stood a chance" both went through.

    United thump Roma, and Chelsea have 65% of the possession and dominate the chances.

    I thought Ballack played extremely well though. Ale

    God knows what Jose said to the boys at half time, but it seemed to inspire Ballack. We saw the Bayern Munich Ballack today, whilst Flumps disappointed.

    This must be a nightmare for Otto.

    He'd be dying to get on and lambast us with how Bayern and Milan will be the game of all games, but knows if he comes on he has to admit his predictions for the Chelsea and Man United games were (if truth be told) bordering on spastic.

    @parky

    the truth is that I can live with the ManU victory rather well

    when Bayern got the Milan/ManU or Roma draw I was ecstatic

    Bayern vs ManU in the semis is a dream come true

    the Chelsea win broke my heart though; I loathe them and Liverpool in equal measure and having one of them in the FINAL makes me want to puke

    it's like soiling a white Persian rug with dog shit

    ---------------

    as for my predictions, there was an element of tongue in cheek; in fact, when s4p confronted me with my Chelsea prediction I conceded that TWO English teams would go through, that Chelsea WOULD score away and that I had a hunch they might pull it off; I said that Valencia would need two goals to go through

    the ManU win, I did NOT see coming though

    it was one of those days; a bit like the Lyon-Bremen 7:0

    Roma are a class side, but yesterday they played without ANY defence; weird Italians, them are; Bayern have giants like Lucio, van Buyten , Lahm and Kahn Smile

    Fair play to you Otto. <Ale>

    I badly want Bayern to go through, not because they are an easier team (could probably be harder) but because it should be two open ties, where as Milan will suffocate us to death.

    @Parky/Otto:

    Man United are a dream to watch in that form. The pace they play at is not matched by another other side in europe.

    Barca play more possession football, pretty passing,

    but United go for the jugular in a way that is unique to them, yet probably not seen at its best since the heady days of 1999.

    The biggest shame is that United Barca has not been repeated since 1999 when it produced those two 3-3 games home and away.

    @Otto, you also discredit Liverpool- they are playing some very good stuff currently

    Barca v United would be awesome as long as both teams just decided to go for it (a bit like United v Real 2003), maybe next season, we may see it.

    Middlesbrough is our partner team in the EPL, thanks to me and cooper, what has Lyon to do with you, except you stealing their best players?

    I see that you are already focusing on the Coca Cola League in the Premiership board. Smart boy, once Abramovich gets bored, that's exactly where you will end.

    We gave them Tiago. Tiago was a nice guy. They gave us Essien. Essien is better than the entire Bremen Team together. Yup.

    I see you've left a few posts in the German Second Division Thread, is this because you enjoy their standard of play to your own? Or merely because both the second and first are exactly the same and the teams in both divisions are of the same quality.

    2. Bundesliga >>>> Coca Cola league

    Even the greatest myth was debunked just recently. You English were always raving about the attendances of your second division, yet it's the 2. Bundesliga that puts those numbers to shame. Over 51,000 people watched the match between 1860 München and Karlsruhe this weekend. That's more than Stamford Bridge will ever see, even if Abramovich invites half of the Russian Mafia (= family) to the match.

    2,000 Werder fans were louder than 30,000 Chelsea fans on your own turf. You can't buy tradition and passion.
