    @roger

    yes, I know that. here, too, Brazil 70 is more hyped.

    I've watched some full games of Brazil 70, and I have to admit i never watched a full game of Brazil 58, and maybe the complete footage of those games doesn't even exist. but I've watched the highlights and I've read about it.

    in a nutshell, 70 is more famous, in Brazil and in the rest of the world, but most Brazilian football researches consider brazil 58 our best team.

    @Otto

    so Brazil 70 didn't have "impact", it was a waste of talent... ok

    @ todo...

    Completely off topic, but since you are the one that knows Tevez the best, would he fit in at Barcelona?? As you know then we are searching high and low for a striker to provide some competition in the squad..

    my bad

    I meant to say Brazil 1982 and 1974

    obviously, the 1970 side lifted the Cup; but with all due respect, would they have won against a FRESH Italy or Germany ???

    Italy had 120 minutes of sheer madness in their legs

    I fear Brazil would have lost against a rested Germany or Italy

    Otto, remember that the Brazilians had had to beat the 2nd best team in the world on the way there... they were tired too Wink

    Seriously - the climate definitely favoured Brazil.

    man, I don't know if I'm the right person for you to ask this, cause I'm just fascinated by him.

    maybe you should ask Barrilete or Sheva, who watched him playing for Boca and Corinthians respectively.

    anyway, he's a second striker, to play behind/alongside the main striker. he plays better on the left, close to the box. he's a warrior, the kind of player that may come back to defence to tackle, that bleeds for the team and, at the same time, has skill. he also has great vision to assist the striker and other players. he has an excelent character, something the Brazilian press tried to hide while he was here.

    if I think he would fit in Barcelona? well, I think he would fit in any team in the world. ok
