We all know how good he is, so far I don't think he's had a bad game for Liverpool, he's only 22, can he go on to become one of the best players in the world?

I believe he will surpass his training ground team mate Alonso, as he offers good vision, passing an excellent engine and is prepared to stick a foot in which at 22 is an excellent platform already.
If he can add a few goals here and there too, then he would become for me a complete midfielder.
Sissoko now has a task on his hands, and will have to show improvement with his distribution if he wants to be part of a 2 man midfield at Liverpool.
A top class potential, with already some solid convincing displays suggests he has all the tools to become a fabulous player, he needs to keep his head down and working on his game, and then who knows just how good he can become, its all upto him i believe, he has all the raw materials he simply has to do the hard work and apply himself.

He is a holding midfield player, in the Makelele mould IMO. So i am not sure he will add goals to his game, assists maybe.
He is already a great player and will get better but i can't see him being as good as Keane or Vieira (in there prime) because like i said before he is in the Makelele mould. These players contribution to the team can go unnoticed. Keane and Vieira stood out.

I agree he is a discplined player, however he reads the game so well i feel he can add goals to his game.
Whether hes given the license or he feels comfortable to exploit the space in front of him is another issue.
He certainly has the brain and the technical ability to get forward and pose a goal threat.

Excellent player , does the simple things with sublime ease.
Reminds me a lot of Obi Mikel at Chelsea- both these players can become top top players at their respective clubs

Javier is a brilliant player, I remember seeing a goal were he picked up the ball on the halfway line beat 3 players and then scored from 25 yards. So he does have the abilty to add goals to his game.

Javier Mascherano claims clubmate Steven Gerrard is as good as anyone he has played with.
Despite his tender years, the 22-year-old new-boy has played alongside the likes of Lionel Messi, Carlos Tevez and Juan Riquelme.
However, the Argentine midfielder has been so impressed with the Liverpool skipper in training that he ranks him firmly amongst the cream of the international crop.
"Playing with Steven Gerrard is great, of all those I've lined up alongside he's definitely one of the best,"
"He's incredible, I knew he was good before I arrived but he's even better than I imagined. I see it in every training session, every day. He can do everything and it's great to play with him on a regular basis.
"I think you've got to do everything with desire, good will and a positive attitude, that applies to both football and everything else."

I think it doesnt do Javier justice to label him a makelele tupe player as he is far superior on the ball than makelele is.
Not quite up to Alonso's level but he has the ability to protect the back four and distribute the ball well.
