Have you seen Milan's lineup? Shocked

Hide the women and children! That's a decoy by Milan. They're actually attacking in waves. Biggrin <Ale>

I could be very wrong, but I see Milan positioning themselves to choke the life out of the Mancs. First they're gonna dictate control in midfield, and then they're gonna rally 'round the family Cosa Nostra style to restore honor to Serie A. Shocked <Ale>

I think it was a very obvious line up by milan... or course they are going to midfield control, thats the key... coz it will help them try to dictate the pace, and if they can slow down the pace, half the battle is won...

I put SIX Milan players in my fantasy team Bluenine! That's how confident I was when I saw their lineup, Kaká as my captain. Did you flood your fantasy team with Milan players as well? I hope you did too. Biggrin <Ale>

Other than the misjudged corner by Dida, the Mancs haven't done shite. They'd better get it together in second half or this tie is over in the "theater of dreams" Doh

I think Milan are disappointed to have allowed that goal in the end, but when they start thinking about the overall situation they'll realize they are in the driver's seat. Gattuso's injury cost Milan the game. <Ale>

Puro , you can hardly complain about Gattuso injury as we got some serious injury problems, the difference betweem 3/2 and 2/2 in a 2/2 we had to attack them as we would have to win now they have to attack us as they need a win.

This "big game player" talk is nonsense anyway. There are good and not so good players. Good players tend to perform well consistently, be it against weak or strong opponents.

Blut the big game player is tounge in cheek, all we ever hear is that Rooney cant perform against the big teams, only scores against Bolton, no goals in CL, blah blah.

Rooney has scored 4 goals in 5 K.O matches in the CL against great opposition. The crtics can go eat humble pie. Thats an amazing record for a 21 year old player. Not since the days of Kluivert/Raul/Del Piero in the mid 90s has a youngster been so succesful in the buisness end of the CL.

What a great game LRD! About time Rooney started scoring some goals. What an assist by Midfield Maestro! Giggs' assist was class too. The game turned as soon as Gattuso left. Cristiano had more room to operate, and Rooney was very smart by running into the open spaces.

Cristiano was getting all the attention throughout the match, but Rooney figured it out (a bit late, but better late than never, right!) and started to run to the open areas. I give Rooney credit for that. Some turn of events now eh! Cristiano is "the man", gets three Milan defenders on him allows Rooney to be all alone to take good shots on goal. I'm sure Rooney will take that anyday. Rooney knows Cristiano's the reason for his recent scoring in CL, but the English media will see things different. We know that too, they have to sell.

Kaká my MOTM by far. Great match that second leg in Milan. Biggrin <Ale>

Rooney was making the runs and Ronaldo was ignoring him. I am massive Ronaldo fan but after Kaka scored the second Ronaldo showed his age, he was doing too much and trying to win the game by himself. He kept running into blind alley ways and losing the ball.

In the second half, he realised he had a team and that if he sacrificed his game ie he stayed on the touchline and passed the ball early, it would benefit the team. This freed up space for Giggs and Scholes to work their magic, this lead us dominating the midfiled. Also When he started passing to Rooney in the last 35 minutes, Rooney stole the show scoring two goals and creating the Darren Fletcher chance, which was expertly saved by Dida.

I'm just telling my man LRD how it is! The media especially will once again start hyping Rooney with "Rooney blah blah blah", BUT Rooney is same old Rooney if it weren't for Cristiano getting all the defenders' attention. True story! Biggrin <Ale>

Puro.....the media jump on Rooney for big stories so what we are all use to this.....Man U went in 2-1- down and Ronaldo was not creating hardly anything for Rooney or anyone else. Second half Ronaldo looked up and saw other red shirts out there, Rooney was given more freedom and delivered...Gatusso was a turning point yes but it was really the second goal with Scholes flick-on to Rooney that visibly changed the United players to press on just like they did against Roma......Ale
