    THAT CAME FROM NOWHERE!

He did love Livorno but wasnt happy that he got blamed for poor results by President Spinelli.

Great signing for Fiorentina but i hope this doesnt mean Toni will leave.
Anyway providing he stays next season they will have Toni, Mutu, Lucarelli, Pazzini and Lupoli....thats some fire power.

    Forza Viola.

They can't possibly all stay - having 5 strikers is completely unjustifiable - especially when three of them have scored 10+ Serie A goals this term.

Looks like one of Toni or I guess Pazzini, is leaving

He was going to move to Zenit last season, but had achange of heart.

After being attacked after the 1-1 draw with Reggina, he came out and publicly slammed the Livorno support, and he doesn't get along with Spinelli anyway.

The Ultras invited him into the Curva for the match against Palermo - like the Milanisti did with Sheva against Roma, but he declined their invite.

Interesting move, i'm quite shocked he announced it yesterday, and his choice of club. Hopefully, this is a sign that Toni will be coming to Milan!!!

If not, then Fiorentina have an excellent team of strikers! And they could still have Juventus return them Bojinov!

Unfortunately that almost certainly means that Luca Toni is being sold to the highest bidder.

If chelsea take Crespo back (as is looking likely), then I hope Inter move for Toni. We will desperately need him, and more importantly we need to ensure that Milan or Juve do not net him. Toni+Ronaldo at Milan will be a disaster for Inter...

Its going to be a very exciting summer of transfers as Milan and Juve look to strengthen there squads to challenge Inter.

Juve have been linked with a £14m move for Mesto and Bianchi from Reggina. Id be gutted to see both players leave the Amarento but after impressing so much it will be hard to keep them both. Mesto would be a great signing, especially if Juve are getting rid of Zebina.

Rumour has it Reggina would be willing to do a deal if Zalayeta is included in the swap. At least if they get him and can keep Amoruso then they would have a decent (ex Juve) forward line.

No no no... if Moratti lets Toni go to Milan, then he is a moron!!! We cannot afford that, even if Crespo stays with inter... Inter needs to out bid Milan here, its a necessity!!

Apparently Mancio wants for Italians at Inter, and has rubbished 90% of our supposed transfer targets (Messi, Qauresma, Mancini, etc) sayin that Inter will only but 2 Italians this summer (rumoured to be Toni and De Rossi).

Despite all that talent, and a great coach, I don't see Roma winning the scudetto in the near future. Let me put it this way, they have a better chance of winning the CL than they have of winning the scudetto, which means very very low probability... coz the team is made up of too many temperamental stars, and consistancy will be an issue. You can always expect Roma to drop a few points even at their best form, and that never wins you the league. Specially since next season will be extremely tough, Milan are going to be a big force and will challenge Inter, Juve I am sure will hit the deck running (looking at the talent they have) and Prandelli's Fiorentina have similar talent to Roma and are more serene.

I think Roma will be fighting with Fiorentina and Lazio for that final CL spot next season - best case scenario. If I have to make a prediction for next seasons standings, it would be:

    1. Inter
    2. Milan
    3. Juve
    4. Fiorentina
    5. Roma
    6. Lazio

But you are right, I don't see De Rossi leaving them either... he will stay at least for a few more years.

I'm still not sure about Juventus, i think the best they can hope for is UEFA Cup. It's another adjustment for them, playing in A, then suddenly to B, then back to the style of A. They havn't exactly swatted opponents in B, plus in regard to luring players, they probably won't be able to offer them Champions League football for probably another couple of seasons.

I don't particularly rate Deschamps anyway as a manager or tactician, but they have some fine young players, and it will be interesting to see how Palladino, Paro, Marchiso, Chiellini can do, and i'd love to see Bojinov and Marchionni recover their past form, they could be a good side to watch, but in terms of the four Champions League places, i'm fairly confident they will go to Inter, Milan, Roma and Fiorentina. You also have to consider that Palermo, Lazio, Samp, Udinese will develop, in Palermo's case it matters if they can keep a hold of Barzagli, Corini and Amauri, and for Samp and Udinese - Quagliarella and Iaquinta, otherwise, these are teasm on a par with Juventus, the competition next year will be excellent.

Juve are the shrewdest Italian club, and just their reputation (footballing, not the cheating) will be good enough to attract top talent... Someone who is 30 years old (Sheva, Toni, etc) may not join Juve coz of no CL football, but a 24-28 (Saviola, Quag, etc) year old will coz he will be guaranteed CL football in a years time.... and earn big money. So I don't buy the whole "not luring" player theory... if they managed to keep the likes of Buffon, Nedved, Del Piero, Zanetti, Trezeguat, etc in Serie B, they can attract bigger names in Serie A. Believe me, before they start next season, they will have more talent and bigger names than Roma or Fiorentina.

Deschamps I agree with. I think he is not upto the mark. But then, thats what I thought about Mancini when Inter hired him or Ancellotti when Milan hired him.

I am pretty sure Juve will be at least at the Roma/Fiorentina level if not better next season...

Yeah possibly mate especailly with them not qualifying for the Champs i think Toni might be interested if Inter or Milan come calling. But i hope this is not the case, cos he is absolute quality and id rather have Toni than Bojinov and one of the ones you mentioned if i was a Fiorentina fan.

Luccarelli is so underrated by you guys on here btw.

The guys been a top scorer for about 4 seasons running scoring all kinds of goals - sure, he may not ooze class like some players but he has great positional sense and anticipation + although his finishing isn't flamboyant, its precise and clinical.

Could have played for a big club if he'd moved at the right time.

Lucarelli is under rated by everyone, not just out here.

One of the reasons is that he does not have any spectacular skills... he is a good forward, but there are better strikers in business... and he hasn't got a chance to prove himself for a top team fighting for top honours. Till that happens, a player like him will never be considered among the top talents... it was no surprise he did not make the Azzurri squad of 6 strikers last world cup. Lucarelli was rated 9th among Italian strikers in a poll we had earlier this season, even tho he has scored more goals than all above him... that kinda sums it up....

The poll part isn't surprising. After all, he's a socialist and the majority of Italian football followers are right wing.

It would be like asking people to poll footballers in England with the knowledge that one was a homosexual

Looks a certain Toni exit now. I think Lucarelli is a good replacement, his goal threat is not too different to that of Toni. I would love to see Toni join Juve, there are so few top quality strikers about. I will put my neck on the line by saying that if Trez leaves we will sign one of Toni, Villa and Klose.

Villa would never go to Juve, not this season coming at least. Maybe in a seasons time but Villa is probably the hottest striking talent in Europe at present (that MIGHT be available)

Amazing how people refer to the possibility of joining Juventus as being outlandish for these great players. CL or not, and like it or not, Juventus has a pull matched only by Real Madrid.

Klose, I could certainly see joining Juve

Villa has said he wants to stay in Spain.. which means that he will probably remain at Valencia, or possibly more to RM.. He has said he would like to play in azulgrana one day but that will only happen if we lose a crack this summer..

Livorno striker Cristiano Lucarelli has denied that he will join Fiorentina in the summer.

The Amaranto legend had allegedly declared that he was ready to move to the Tuscan rivals at the end of the season, during a seminar on the ills of Italian football in London.

Lucarelli however, did not appreciate the reports following his statements, claiming that he had never said anything like that.

“The seminar lasted over two hours and I never spoke about market plans,” said the No 99 via his agent Carlo Pallavicino.

“I never spoke about Fiorentina or my future, there are over 200 people who can testify to that,” added the player’s representative.

“The only thing I am worried about is to help Livorno secure Serie A safety.”

The Livorno captain was expected to leave the club, after declaring that his time with the Amaranto was over following the disappointing 1-1 draw with Reggina.

Lucarelli was booed by his supporters and reacted furiously, insisting that he would leave and that there were no chance of him changing his mind.

Reports in Italy suggest that Fiorentina might still be Lucarelli’s next destination, as it seems likely that Luca Toni will leave the Viola at the end of the current term, but Inter could also join the race to sign the Amaranto captain.
