I have a soft spot for Fiorentina, eventhough I don't follow the Serie A too closely.

But I think Fiorentina can at least get a draw.. they have finally found their feet again and I think Palermo has gone in the opposite direction.

Used to watch them back when Rui Costa was at the club. I'd say they're one of the Italian clubs I like, them and Milan...again because of Rui Costa.

I was glade to see the Viola go back up, and it's nice to see them with a strong squad again.

    Welcome to the board.

Thanks. I hope we beat them. It will not be easy, they are a very good team.

Yes, we have had a good run. I hope it last for some more time... enough to qualify for europe next season.

This is a real crucial match for both teams. I expect a great tactical battle!

Since Amauri's injury, Palermo's tactic has been compromised. They simply don't have a replacement of sufficient qualities. Di Michele and Caracciolo offer something different, less physical. Di Michele certainly is someone who will play behind strikers, not shoulder the lone role himself.

Very impressed with Fiorentina this season, fantastic manager, certainly more deserving of La Nazionale than Donadoni. Good signing in Lupoli for next term, obviously here in Italy, he is rated very highly, much depends on how the two midfields will play, although the advantage lies with Fiorentina, they have refreshing vitality, while palermo's two key motivators in Corini and Amauri are lost. Guana certainly offers nothing to the tactical and spatial awareness Corini brings to the centre. Brienza is likely to play up front, not sure about this either, i prefer him in wider areas. They seem to be on the slip, Zamparini is losing the plot vocally (as always), Guidolin seems to have no clear objectives any more, the direction of the team is confused.

Fiorentina are a team that command great respect, fantastic squad, next season is going to be an excellent opportunity for them, also be interesting to see whether Prandelli is going to follow Ancelotti's route with Pirlo in his conversion of Montolivo's talents. These sorts of players have high versatility in central areas, and he has always impressed for the Azzurrini. Frey, Serie A's outstanding keeper in my books. They also will have to compete with injuries too, Donadel, Gobbi and Santana are key losses, it will be interesting to see if Montolivo is given a start in the centre, whether Prandelli will entrust him to run a game of this importance. I'm sure there will be a titanic clash between Simplicio and Blasi! The cards had better watch out, both these enthusiasts are sure to be written!

Fiorentina to steal an away victory i think, Palermo need to stop this free fall though, they are ruining all their hard work of the first half with this bickering and in-fighting!
