if you could forget one game from your club's history, which one would it be?

For Barcelona: the 4-0 loss in Athens against Milan in the 1994 CL final.

That game was just a few days after that extraordinary championship of Barcelona. Deportivo had to score only a penalty 5 minutes before the end of the game to become champions. They missed and because of that Barça were the Champions.

I was in Camp Nou that night, awesome!

Ruud misses a pen to win the game, Arsenal go on to win the league without losing a game. Doh

from recent years...fa cup final 2000. lost 1-0 to chelsea. very forgettable game in general but it was a chance to win our first fa cup for godknows how long and it was the last final at wembley. just a very anticlimatic game.

just looked it up...george weah was playing for chelsea that day. couldn't even remember him being at chelsea!

For Newcastle, maybe the 0-1 at home against Man Utd in the 95/96 season. We fell away at the end of the season, lost a big lead and were particularly unfortunate in that certain players made it their business to score the only valuable or half decent goals of their career against us - players like Graham Fenton and Ian Woan - but still, if we had won this match, we would have won the league.

I was at the match and we deserved to win too. We had all the play, Schmeichel made a number of excellent saves, we hit the post a few times and did everything but score a goal, then Man Utd hit a ball up to Cantona and he volleyed it in.

The Benfica game was worse for me. The 3-0 loss at Stamford Bridge was pretty hard to take as well.

As for Man United v Arsenal games, that game where they won the title at Old Trafford was the pits.

Nothing beats that Benfica game, Goater.

The media had an absolute field day for a week, some of the criticism was way beyond spiteful too. 'Fergie is finished', 'United are no longer a force' etc etc.

Never had that when we've lost to Citeh.

Sunday 25 February 2001. Man Utd 6-1 Arsenal

Obvious choice. Getting beat by your rivals is one thing, but getting completely and utterly hammered is another level that does not feel great and is a truly horrible experience. We actually finished second this season, but were still miles behind Man Utd as a football team. What made it worse was that Teddy Sheringham scored the winner. We resent him at Arsenal.

Yorke got a hatrick that game. He was a phenominal player in his day.

At that time Cole + Yorke >>> Bergkamp + Henry

Henry came into his own in 2001/2002 season though and started to really make a name for himself.

They were definitely with their heads in the clouds.... It was a huge party time in Barcelona for days.... The players and fans thought they were unbeatable Gods....

Till that game on Wednesday.... Sad

But then when people refer to that 4-0 final I immediately think about the crazy championship games (Depor and Barcelona) and I'm happy again!

    14th May 2000.

The Day The Conspiracy Theorists Forgot.

We were robbed of our 26th Championship. I sat in disbelief after learning that surreptitious Lazio board members, in cahoots with anti-Juve officials, had conspired to replace the Renato Curi pitch with swampland exported from Agro Pontino.

Most recent one has to be 2-0 up at half time against Monaco and 45 minutes away from a maiden CL final.

Not games that we should forgot, though if the option was there to erase them from history then we have two obvious ones.

1989 FA Cup Semi versus Notts Forest & the 1985 European Cup final versus Juventus.

If we're talking about just a result though, and one to forget, not erase...

1996 FA Cup Final or the 1977 one.
