As usual, I agree with everything El Capitano says.... Zanetti for President!!!
Zanetti to support Liverpool
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Inter captain Javier Zanetti has admitted that it won’t be easy for him to cheer on Milan in the Champions League Final against Liverpool.
“I have many friends on both sides,” said the Argentine. “I know Javier Mascherano, Clarence Seedorf, Leandro Grimi and it will be a difficult match – just like the one two years ago.
“I will watch the game on television, like any other sportsman, but it will be really hard for me to cheer for Milan…”
The relationship between the two San Siro outfits has been somewhat cold recently, with Inter boss Roberto Mancini insisting there is a media preference for the Rossoneri.
Club officials have also swapped insults over which outfit deserves more praise for their achievements this term.
“We are very happy that we won the Scudetto, while Milan are in the Champions League Final and can win that tournament,” added Zanetti.
“But I don’t really understand why we have to continue making this kind of comparison to see which side is stronger.”
Meanwhile, the versatile player confirmed that he believes he will end his career wearing the Nerazzurri shirt.
“I think my playing days will conclude here as my contract expires in 2010,” explained the 33-year-old.
“The team’s future? I am very sorry to see Luis Figo leave as he is a great player and a great person. His replacement? I would like Lionel Messi of Barcelona…”
