Very Happy well done WHAM! But on the other hand, this team should be fighting for a UEFAcup ticket, not relegation. But anyway <Ale>

I think Whelan was the main driving force behind the lawsuit...now that Wigan have stayed up I don't think he'll care.

Whelan comes across a man of principle so he may well do it. But he would be wiser not to..

Well, that was to be expected with every Premiership club starting to get taken over by mega-rich businessmen...plus you could point to the lucky deflected "goal" they were given a few weeks ago (can't remember against who), or the possibly penalty shouts for Man. utd. today, etc. But luck is always part of it, and you can't deny that they played some really good football, esp. Tevez, and deserved to stay up.

For footballing reasons, of course its a good day.

West Ham will contribute to a stronger premiership than Sheffield ever could do.

I think there are other teams who the Prem could do without much more than Sheffield United. However West Ham are not one of them, good fan base and a tradition of good football.

To be fair West Ham were unbelievably lucky to get both results against Arsenal. It's the first time in the Prem that two clubs have done the double against Man U in the league according to SKY.

Wrong...at home we were much the better side against Arsenal. I will admit we rode out luck at The Emirates though.

hmm, i don't see what he'd lose by pressing for it, apparently theres a collaboration of 4 clubs ganging up on West Ham in this lawsuit and that they agreed to stick by the ones that ended up going down

I thought it was very marginal at Upton Park. The game swung in your favour around the 70 min mark when you made some attacking subs.

Credit though, not many teams do the double over us. <Ale>
