I cant see it being Coleman or Jewell. My money would be on one of Ranieri, Koeman or Houlier, its anyones guess at the moment but id go with Koeman.

My main choice would be Hiddink or Van Gaal, or Sven but really but Houllier, Koeman or Ranieri are very good managers and would be decent.

I have also read that we have been linked with Lippi and Cappello, obviously id love either but i dont think there is any chance at all that one of them would be our new boss.

I think realistically it's between Houllier, Sven, Coleman, Jewell, and Davies.

Billy Davies deserves a chance with a Premiership club.

You might have a small chance with Koeman. Just a small chance though. vGaal is very unlikely.

Who made that list and in what reality does he live ?

Nothing wrong with City, but it is a way too small a club for at least half the managers on that list...

It's just a list of the favourites with the bookmakers. Some of the names, like Van Gaal and Hiddink, are never going to go to City though.

BTW, Newcastle have been selling out a 52k seater this season, Man City haven't been selling out their stadium. Funny eh?

Anyway Frank, by my calculations you were 12 when we recorded our lowest ever average attendence(16k in 1980). That's some memory you've got there.

at that time you were consistantly having low attendances it wasn´t just a one off. my memory is pretty good on footy shame i didn´t retain other information as well i could have made a fewquid from it. although i also remember utd getting about 23k v charlton which included sth who didn´t turn up another load of band wagon jumpers

Those stats look just fine to me, especially when you consider how small and crappy our stadium used to be.

I'd love to hear why Frank thinks City have bigger potential than Newcastle. I won't hold my breath though.

city are probably a season or two behind newcastle in that newcastle have a better squad right now, but with money and a good boss, they could catch up. both have big potential, whether they will live up to it is another matter.

if they were selling out their stadium, they'd only be a few thousand behind your attendance.

not arguing they're bigger than newcastle, just that they're in the same ball-park in terms of potential. along with spurs, villa and west ham. and everton, i suppose. although they might get left behind if everyone else gets takeovers

We only hold 36,000 though. Newcastle can fit another 15,000 fans in their stadium.

I'm sure we'd fill a stadium that big too. Not having a go or on a wind up, just stating certain factors.
