Bit harsh on Malbranque mate. Also Mpenza always plaed upfront ahead of a midfleid that created little and he has been superb since we signed him.

Whenever I've seen Malbranque he seems to have an attitude which looks like he can't wait for the final whistle...

Mpenza wasn't named in the worst side btw...I named him as the fact he has been decent

Yeah i do sort of agree with that point mate but personally i wouldnt really include him in this thread.

Recent games (Cup final, CL semi 2nd leg, Arsenal away etc), have highlighted Sheva's importance to the Chelsea team this season.

Something that is massively overlooked.

And Ballack only has 2 fewer league goals than Gerrard.

Ambiguous question really, its hard to say who's been the worst player.

But in terms of underachievement and not living up to their standards its a no-brainer.

4 goals in the premiership, so what if he's able to lay into Wycombe, Norwich and Forest in cup competitions? ignoring his mickey mouse goals, Shevchenko has 4 goals in the premiership this season and hasn't even played well aside from goalscoring

Lee YP was poor at the start of the season, but he was excellent from the New Year onwards.

Malbranque has been very dissapointing, but by no means terrible - he's just been very average - so far.

had some outstanding games in the 1st half of the season; blackburn away, reading away, cska moscow at home come to mind. I also remember him tearing bolton apart at the reebok in the 2nd half of the season.

But i think it's fair to say he's been pants for months now. The problem with him is his main flaws are exactly the flaws of our team as a whole: Cr@p finishing, indecisiveness in the final 3rd etc so he is an easy target.

I'd like him to be replaced with a goal scoring winger but don't want him to be sold because he can be very useful in certain type of games ie tight (european) games where there is very little space to play, there is no one more adept at keeping possession in those sort of situations than him in our squad.

I just think we should bring a goalscoring winger and then rotate the three. Rosicky was inuured a lot this season so i can hardly see it being a problem having three good options on the wings...

Hasselbaink hasn't played near as many games as D. Bent. Bent also takes the penalties btw. Might go someway into explaining his higher tally. Bet any of the teams get Hasselbaink offered for 3m they'd bite Charlton's hand off. Proven quality.

Boulah has been dissapointing for me, injured too many times, played on the RB with mistakes and every mistake he's made has been blown out off proportions, in particular when he was deputising for John 'English Pride' Terry - MOTD was tearing him a new arsehole everytime he played in order to prove Terry was good. Talk about a thankless job.
He was dissapointing, yes - for his standards very dissapointing indeed - but there are still many teams who'd take him in a jiff. The man is quality.
