Which is the best and who is best value for money. Jag is rated £6m, Barton £5.5m (has a release clause) and Reo-Coker £8m.

Jagielka for me. None of them are first team players IMO but he's a good utility player, and he has a far better attitude.

Re: Reo-Coker, Barton or Jagielka
Yeah if we sell Barton then id be happy with either Reo or Jag's and if i had to choose id pick ReoCoker. But i think £8m is far to much for Reo Coker especially as he seems to be being a bit of a dick recently.

Re: Reo-Coker, Barton or Jagielka
No one will pay £8 million for Reo-Coker, not after the season he has had both in terms of performance and off field stuff.
As for City, Jagielka would be a good replacement to Barton. Plays in a slightly different way though.

Barton seems better to me at the moment ability wise , Jagielka is more versatile but not better then Reo.

Re: Reo-Coker, Barton or Jagielka
Jagielka - For his professionalism alone.
He would be the best value for money out of the three and would still do a very good job in midfield. I like him, I hope he goes to a decent Premiership club this Summer, he can cut it here.

Re: Reo-Coker, Barton or Jagielka
Skysports.com can reveal West Ham star Nigel Reo-Coker has handed in a transfer request.
The Hammers skipper has decided to ask for a transfer after a meeting with the club to discuss his future.
Reo-Coker, who helped the club achieve Premiership survival against all the odds, has decided to move for pastures new after he was not given the right assurances over his future by the club's board.
The dynamic midfielder's advisor Tony Finnigan confirmed Reo-Coker had handed in the transfer request and he expressed his surprise that West Ham were willing to let the player leave Upton Park.
"I can confirm that Nigel Reo-Coker has officially handed in a transfer request with West Ham United football club," Finnigan told skysports.com
"Nigel hopes his future will be resolved in the next few weeks.
" I am surprised that a 22-year-old Londoner who is captain of his club is being allowed to leave.
"As I said on Sky Sports in January, Nigel would get his head down and work to keep West Ham in the Premiership.
"And that is exactly what he did with 100 per cent commitment.
"At the end of the day he never felt wanted but I am sure he will have a bright future elsewhere."

Re: Reo-Coker, Barton or Jagielka
Fairly surprising news. It seems to me that Reo-Coker and his agent have overestimated his value and standing at West Ham. With the money they now have to spend and his attitude earlier in the season, he would appear to have fallen out of favour there, and they can probably afford to buy someone with more commitment and maturity than Reo-Coker has shown.
Which clubs can people see making a bid for him?

What a turnaround in the last 12 months we have seen from him. Leading a team out in a big Cup Final and being wanted by Man Utd and Arsenal to this state of affairs.
I wonder if Anton will follow?

Re: Reo-Coker, Barton or Jagielka
Yeah but to be fair DD...An Italian player in Italy and a Spanish player in Spain it would be similar etc...
English clubs like to buy English as they are proven in the EPL...so the prices would be inflated.
Still I agree those prices are ridiculous...
Barton and Reo-Coker are worth no more than £5m...and Jagielka around £3m

That for sure...also takeovers. Us and Villa are two clubs that other clubs will hold out for loads when we come knocking for players.
Just look at the price of Ashley Young to Villa and Matthew Upson to us. Both are good players but their prices were very much inflated.
People said we paid too much for Dean Ashton (£7.25m). That I disagree with as I think he is worth more.

For 9 M pounds you could buy at least 5 FC Groningen players...who are all better than Reo-Coker

Agree. Very versatile which adds a lot IMO - can play anywhere across the back and central and right midfield.
He may be a starter for some mid-table clubs too

Re: Reo-Coker, Barton or Jagielka
Barton is the better footballer of the 3...however his attitude is a hundred times worse which then makes him the worst one to have of the 3.
But I'd agree Jagielka is a half decent player and would be the best one to buy out of the 3.

Re: Reo-Coker, Barton or Jagielka
If Barton wasnt such a wanker and had a different mentality, one that wasnt so arrogant and was willing to listne and learn then he could be a great player but i just think he will always be limited because of his attitude. I know RC has been a wanker this season but i wouldt call him a problem player and id be happy to swap him for Barton.
