Re: Tevez to Man United
hi s4p,
im not so sure: what happens if Droggers or Sheva gets injured? And if Chelsea r going to win the league and CL this season they will have to play and win an awful lot of games and i think another striker would be useful. Tevez is quick, strong and very good; he might not 'cut it' in the prem but if any team can afford to gamble on a south american it is Chelsea. Id hate it if a lack of players cost chelsea the CL this year and with their resorcues that would be down-right idiotic...
well i think so.

@ wastastic
If one of Drogs or Sheva gets injured, JM will just switch back to 4-3-3 with 2 wingers and a main striker.
I'm not really willing to take a gamble on Tevez now we have Sheva. We can also recall Crespo at the end of this season, should one of our strikers want to leave.
Right now we have 5 or 6 players out injured, and we're doing fine, so I'm not worried about a lack of squad depth

If anything, it'll knock their egos down (not like many of them really have egos that haven't been substantially exaggerated by all those who believe the tabloid newspapers)
All those guys will realise that if they're not playing well, they're out the team (unlike every other club where certain players e.g. Rooney, Ronaldo at Man Utd, will know that no matter how poorly they're playing, they'll be guaranteed a place in the 1st team).

Huth is now 5th choice CB (he might get promoted to 4th should Willie Gallas leave), so I don't think we'll be seeing much of the Huthmeister (thank f*ck! )
What team do you support?

What a load of rubbish maybe other clubs likeUnited can't afford to spend 320 million on players in 3 years to win the title and have world class players with big ego's to compete for places
Ronaldo was actually dropped around Novemeber time if you remember.
Also it's not the papers that make me think people like Lampard have Titanic ego's it's the way he acts and tell me Ballack doesn't haev a massive ego and Sheva come off it

is any1 simply forgetting, that where would he play ? in a man man strike force he plays far too deep infield, in a two man partnership, would he not get in the way of Lampard or Ballack ?
Highly unlikely transfer to Cheslea in my opinion.

Im a Chelsea fan. Hense why i dont want to see Huth up front! lol. Im sure all Liverpool fans would love to see him play up front week in, week out!
ID be v happy if Chelsea bought Tevez but a stop-gap like Vieri (1 season) to warm the bench, but who could be useful if needed would be ok also.

You've missed the point. I said that the reason why those players won't have bigger egos from the new squad is because they can never feel as though their place is guaranteed in the squad, whereas at United, certain players are all but guaranteed places because of the fact there is a bigger difference in class between the 1st and 2nd team at your club.
And come off it, maybe Lampard does have a fairly big ego, but Ballack and Sheva? Sheva admitted he wasn't good enough for his uni team and says the only reason he made it as a footballer is because of the (director?) at Kiev. Indeed, when Sheva won the CL with Milan, he laid his CL medal next to that man's grave (he had of course, recently passed away at this stage).
Ballack doesn't come across as a man with a big ego (certainly no worse than Rooney, Ronaldo and co)

Ha ha Ballack thinks he's Mr Germany seriously ask any German poster what they think of Ballack he's mr big balls i cannot think of a player with a bigger ego.
What's this about Sheva he didn't think he was good enough for his Uni team 10 years ago that proves he has no ego come off it. He has one the champians league an numerous scudetto's at a far bigger club then Chelsea do you think he's going to be happy at Chelsea sitting on the bench?

Re: Tevez to Man United
D'you understand what ego means? Why on earth are you suggesting that his ego will be affected by surrounded by Chelsea players (we have a better squad than Milan, let's not forget that) and the fact Sheva will be fighting for his place will only shorten whatever "ego" he has.
I'm sure that the more world class players there are at a side, and the less likely you are to get a place, the more likely your ego will be lower. If he knew from the start that he'd be the number 1 no matter how poorly he was playing (bit like Rooney), his 'ego' would be sky-high as he'd think he were the outright number 1 and could therefore say and do what he likes (I'm using Rooney as an example because of his whole "I'm not going to play for England to f*ck the FA off" stuff)

I'm not really too sure how you can judge a player's ego so 'perfectly' whilst they're playing (bearing in mind that you don't know what they're saying on the field, or what they're thinking - obviously)

hehe Indeed once or twice.
What I'm saying is, how can you believe so positively, that the guy is really that far up his own arse, just by watching him on a football pitch? (bearing in mind, you've never seen him live, and have probably own heard his interviews in tabloid newspapers).

Yet I'm sure you'd love both these 'pig headed arrogant footballers' at your club wouldn't you? (a player who will guarantee you 15-20 prem goals this season, and another who is the best AM in the world)
It's down to people's opinions at the end of the day (could you really see Otto slamming ballack, when he's praised him so much).
Anyhow, even if you believe (and have your reasons why you believe) these 2 are arrogant, how on earth anyone thinks Sheva is arrogant is beyond me? (If so, then surely almost all the top players in the world are, but hey, we'll leave it at that )

Re: Tevez to Man United
of course you need a level of arrogence to be the best player in the world you need it even to make it as a footballer as they say it's 40% skill 60% in the head i.e confidence arrogence
this is nothing about how good the players are they are world class i'm not denying it,
However it remains to be seen whetehr they can work as a unit and whether they were actual Mourinho signings, oh go on tell me Mourinho does not have a big Ego are you really 26?

I am indeed, and indeed Mourinho has a very big ego. If I believe they do (like Lampard) why would I lie? I just don't see how you can say a player is more big headed if they think they're more likely to be on the bench (like you said earlier about Sheva). I also don't see how you can tell how big headed/self centred/whatever you wanna call it, a player is by the way they play their football (which is what you basically said about Ballack, but hey, it's your opinion so it's cool)
Sheva was one Abramovich wanted. Ballack was definitely a Mourinho signing though.
