Before last night's lucky England win, the great Dutch U21 manager 'Foppe De Haan' (Fool The C0ck) was asked which country he'ld rather face in the semifinals, England or Italy.

He replied "They're both not bad" (he's very polite) "But England play a very predictable game. The Italians are more creative and therefore harder to defend against. So I prefer England"

BTW, what happened to Anglo-Serbian relations last night, just been reading through the U21 thread and looks like it got a little bit heated....

Anyway, good luck to Serbia, I dont know why they are so p*ssed off seeing as they're through anyway. Hope they do well, Eastern European football is admirable to watch.

I'd say the same of course for the Germans, but as we know, they're not in it... sniff sniff Sad Laughing

For me, matches against Holland are like playing your best mate in a kick about game - of course I'd like us to win, but it wouldnt bother me if they win either. Despite fervent attempts by the likes of Ricardo, Fey, DD to make me feel otherwise ( Laughing ), there's really nothing to dislike about the Dutch.

Both of us are ridiculously underachieving as nations, so if England dont win this comp I do hope the dutch go on and do it. Eitherway its going to rile the Germans !

    We need to play Derbyshire!

Nugent is hugely overrated by the British press and management - he's decent enough but there isn't anything that he is great at.

Derbyshire is just a superb finisher - him and Lita would make a great partnership IMO

Huddestone out is a big blow - the guy has class and Reo Coker has been pants thus far

Well the big one, its a shame its not the final. I think Holland will win, although they are due for the usual tournament team bust up, so you never know.

Drenthe can learn of the master Richardson and also find out the best shops to go to in Manchester. At the end of the game, they will swap football clubs and Feys team will finally get their X - Factor.

I still have faith in Reo Coker- however the guy needs a rest. The way he bossed Liverpool in the FA cup final, aswell as dominating midfield against Zee Germans in the 2 legged play off means he has the talent, but seems to be suffering from a long season playing as captain.

Noble could indeed be a key player- class act.

Shame Bentley pulled out, best player we have at this level, other than Richardson of course (snigger)

The price is still £10m as Richardson, has the X factor, which will be worth millions in commercial activities alone. Fey you are getting a very good deal as Drenthe is a mere insect compared to Kieran. I think you should do whatever it takes to convince your chairman to make the trade.

In all seriousness how funny would it be if Richardson, outshone Drenthe in the game. However there is probably more chance of me running to the sun and swimming in it, than this happening.

well de Ridder did better than Jenner, but hardly anything was needed for that. I say it's time to finally start our best player. Like Piet de Visser said

    LUIGI BRUINS

should play like Hofs did (withdrawn winger) when we won last time.
