well de Ridder did better than Jenner, but hardly anything was needed for that. I say it's time to finally start our best player. Like Piet de Visser said

    LUIGI BRUINS

should play like Hofs did (withdrawn winger) when we won last time.

If Bruins can do a job like Hofs did last summer , no problems.

tbh , i haven't seen much of him so no expectations (from me)

Gullit and a few others pointed out how we can play the English apart. They're not used to players playing between the lines. Luigi is great at that, he's smart & will come up with assists and goals.

de Haan is confident which i like , Jenner has not done it this tourney so far , De Ridder should be using pace against the Belgians but control and cutting in was good .. again , haven't seen much of Bruins but if he can do what is said , then why not give him a start.

Not a single post by Pele without mentioning the Germans. Talking about an obsession there. Very Happy

Thank God that this is just a U21 tournament, basically invented for those countries who never win the real deal so they can enjoy the limelight also (and pat themselves on the back, talk about the "bright future" that will never become reality), otherwise neither a Dutch or English win would be easy to stomach indeed.

But just because of you Pele, I will be a Hollander for this match! I'm actually eating Gouda as we speak.

Laughing Laughing Dont deny you enjoy the banter, or that you are currently tucking into toad-in-the-hole whilst donning your St George Bowler hat and feeding the food through the mouth of your Kieran Richardson mask.

Otto upped the stakes recently with the Anglo-Teuton rivalry, and I'd be prudent not to get involved. Its all good natured of course, only mentioned the War once ;-)

If Im honest, I suspect Holland will probably win this one. I dont have faith in Pearce as a tactician. Why Peter Taylor isnt still manager is beyond me. The guy has an unparrallelled record at this level, yet has twice been released at the start of a major tournament. Are the FA retarded? propbably

rai, thankfully, Werder dealt with Van Gaal last season, one of the few really enjoyable moments of the second half. Very Happy

It looks like you Dutchies try your best not to have my support also. Let me tell you that whoever has my support wins. I mean really wins, and not just "dies in beauty" (or rather implodes...) which you Dutchies confuse with winning. Having a German rooting for you is the best thing that could happen, the perfect talisman.

I liked Beerens in the match against Portugal, if it were up to me he would start as RW and De Ridder would come on as substitute in the second half.

Jenner hasn't kicked a decent ball since he got kicked around in the Newcastle away game, he should have rested and healed that injury.

X Factor Richardson ignored us however, the bastard. It was possibly the worst live performance i have ever seen.

Aye, lets hope it will get to penalties. But these days we have the Portugal syndrome...and we won at the Euro 2004 penalties against the always cool Swedes!
