What did I say? N'Zogbia gets forward and puts in a great cross. Poor defending though.
    The kids a don. <Ale>

I didn't see the game today, but from the sounds of things we did ok but were ultimately outplayed. I think we'll always do ok against the top 4 teams, our game is all about chasing and closing down, the problem is we do it against Wigan, Reading, and Derby and we look like shite. Erm

1854: Ridiculous news from the touchline. Arsenal were waiting for about three minutes to take Nicklas Bendtner off, but the fourth official's microphone to the referee did not work. Wenger must be fuming.

Don't think it was a straight red, but he deserved to go off for this yellow in tandem with the yellow he should have recieved for the pathatic dive he did in the 1st half

    S4P wrote:Full-Time: Chelsea 2-1 Newcastle

Disgraceful that we benefit from the worst decision by a linesman in the history of the EPL. I say disgraceful because it has just saved Avram Grant's blushes. Once again, he had no clue what he was doing and for much of the game we were on the backfoot.

Newcastle outplayed us, no question. Kalou spent the entire game offside, SWP went missing at times in the 2nd half. The midfield 3 of Mikel, Essien and Ballack did well, but we were left wide open down the flanks.

Maybe this is a wake up call to Grant. The fans were really getting on his back until the goal. He really has no clue and I for one can't see how or why Roman should give him any money to spend in Jan, when he's likely to be out of a job in July. Get Lippi in in the summer says I.

    Anyway, ratings:

    Hilario 5; Belletti 5, Alex 6, Ben Haim 5, Bridge 5; Mikel 6, Essien 7, Ballack 7; SWP 6, J Cole 5, Kalou 6.

I haven't seen the offside decision but Kalou would need to be at least 4 yards offside otherwise his shot would have sailed over the bar like it usually does.

It was a neat finish but had he been onside (Laugh) he wouldn't have been able to finish it. I feel sorry for Big Sam, his team completely outplayed Avram Grants 'fast flowing attacking football' team. Bet you can't wait to watch MOTD now.

scratch According to the BBC we were only in it because Given played a blinder. Confounded!!
