Players dying whilst at work (so to speak) is something that's becoming far too common for it to be considered a freak event anymore. I doubt Pro clubs making sure that their players get thorough medical check-ups as opposed to just looking at the usual sports injuries.
Weird that a Sport like Boxing, where the dangers are far more obvious has a lower death rate than football...

This is exactly what I said when I first heard the news - this is happening too often given the medical resources available to pro clubs...
