Podolski and Maduro to City !
According to reports these two top Sven's wish list for January. Id normally say we have no chance of Maduro but he is out of contract in the summer so you never know.

Re: Podolski and Maduro to City !
Just read it here. If its true, I reckon Maduro might take it... if he's not holding out for a bigger club.
Dunno if he's what Citeh needs though tbh.
But Sven has the Italian mentality so he might need a holding player.
Oh, and why get Podoski when you have Samaras in your ranks?! If you give him a proper run you'll see he's Berbatov II. Podolski won't cut it... he'll be the worst striker there on par with Vassell.
And talentwise I rate Samaras quite highly. More promising than Bianchi I'd say (waiting for Italian backlash).

Poldi is likely to leave Bayern this summer
ManCity are an unlikely destination though
then again, money seems to talk these days; just look at hinkel

Why are we unlikely ? do you think he'd do well in the EPL ? im not sure and although he has lots of talent at Cologne and for Germany id prob rather have a proven prem striker.

Do people still really believe Samaras is anything other than an average player? He's about as good as Ricard.

Re: Podolski and Maduro to City !
no disrespect
but a move from Bayern to ManCity sounds "unlikely" to me
having said that Polid is running out of options that don't look like a move down

Yeah we need a holding mid to take the pressure off Hamann and eventually replace him. We have the money so hope Ajax accept. Plus if he wants to leave then we can offer him a chance to play in the EPL for an ambitious young team.

Liverpool need a striker.
Benitez could do wonders for Podolski.

The smog fumes have seeped into your brain. You need to get out of Red Car and get some fresh air Coops. It´s for the better I think.borocooper wrote:Do people still really believe Samaras is anything other than an average player? He's about as good as Ricard.

I suppose so, but he's nowhere near the finihed article though. he still has time to turn it round.Sgoater1 wrote:DD wrote:Just read it here. If its true, I reckon Maduro might take it... if he's not holding out for a bigger club.

Re: Podolski and Maduro to City !
Kuyt was talked about like he was going to Liverpool's best player by the Dutchies on here..
Samaras has something like 8 goals in about 50 games is it? He's scored a couple of good goals when ive seen him play..the rest of the time he's looked like a donkey. Just like Ricard did when he played for us..only Ricard scored more goals

Re: Podolski and Maduro to City !
It would be great to see Podolski in the premiership, watching Rooney out perform and score him week in week out, Otto would have a hernia.
He'd be an excellent acquisition for City decent player and still young.

Podolksi got talent his prob was he moved too early and wasnt ready to be a part of a title challenging side , he would do well in EPL he strong not small good pace good finisher , some decent coach may sort him out and get a very good player.

i swear everyhting you've just said is absolute bollocks. he's not strong, he's as weak as a watered down guiness in an 'irish' bar in the middle of brussels. he's small, no taller than lahm really, and his finishing is more erratic than kevin federlines.Dark Savante wrote:Podolksi got talent his prob was he moved too early and wasnt ready to be a part of a title challenging side , he would do well in EPL he strong not small good pace good finisher , some decent coach may sort him out and get a very good player.

Podolski really isn't in the same league as the other players that City have been linked to IMO. Maduro would be a very decent signing though

That's no problem. Money doesn't really matter, some transfers have been done for ridiculous prices thought this would be no different. Maduro would be on the bench IMO if he does move.
