    Feyenoord Shocked Laughing

    Langs de Lijn kwam zojuist met het gerucht dat Feyenoord een poging zou ondernemen om Lucas Podolski voor de rest van het seizoen te huren van Bayern Munchen. Dat gerucht zou rondzingen in De Kuip. De Duitse club wil de aanvaller tijdelijk elders onderbrengen omdat hij bij Bayern weinig aan spelen toekomt. Bayern wil deelname aan het EK voor Podolski niet in gevaar brengen en hem daarom verhuren. Feyenoord zou via Makaay hopen Podolski voor Feyenoord te strikken.

    Radio Rijnmond confronteerde iets daarvoor Peter Bosz al met het gerucht. De technisch manager liet daarop weten niet op geruchten in te willen gaan en onthield zich van commentaar.

    Well remember it was a rumour in the summer, but now things looks quite serious to get him on loan for the rest of the season!!

    I always had a love/hate relation with Poles, most of them were Cr@p. But Smolarek Sr. was awesome!

    Good way to judge Otto's prospect as well!

    well I fear we have to rely on the playoffs, we sure could use him for them.

    Feyenoord was anit-fascist/nazi before & duirng WW2. The more establishment clubs had a higher degree (still a small minority of course) of NSB-ers (it was an 'elitist' movement). Ajax were 1 of the first club to bend over for the nazi's (new regulations). Sparta was never an NSB club, but Feyenoord even less...

    Podolski zu Feyenoord Rotterdam? Dass ist doch nur quatsch! Das hat der Spielervermittler von Podolski mittgeteilt gegen die Hollandische Fernsehen.

    The only time we signed a German player in the past, in 1980, when we signed VFL Bochum's striker Jupp Kaczor, there were protests. Maybe it was to close to the war those days...

    He scored about a goal in every other match. Only stayed for 1-2 seasons.

    Come to think of it we hardly had any Germans in Dutch footy at all. Horst Blankenburg was a key player for Ajax & now Cziommer...
