Loovens wil ooit nog terugkeren in De Kuip

een interview in Voetbal International laat Glenn Loovens weten ooit nog te willen terugkeren in De Kuip, en dan als basisspeler bij Feyenoord. Hij komt momenteel uit voor FA Cup finalist Cardiff City.

'Feyenoord is en blijft mijn club. Als supporter had ik hoge verwachtingen voor dit seizoen. Door de komst van een fors aantal goede spelers zou Feyenoord mee gaan doen om de titel, verwachtte ik. Maar na een goede start ging het al snel bergafwaarts. Nu hoor ik mensen wijzen naar de vele blessures maar dat is een gemakkelijk excuus. Een club als Feyenoord moet onder alle omstandigheden bovenin eindigen. Waar het precies mis is gegaan kan ik moeilijk beoordelen, maar het valt me wel op hoe knullig de tegengoals worden weggegeven. Laatst tegen Willem II bijvoorbeeld, daar schrok ik van.'

Zou hij meekunnen op het niveau van Feyenoord? 'Dat gevoel heb ik wel, maar dat was niet anders toen ik nog bij de club onder contract stond. Helaas kreeg ik niet de kans me over langere tijd te bewijzen. Maar mijn wens is nog eens terug te keren naar de club van mijn hart. Ooit wil ik basisspeler zijn in De Kuip'

Very decent. Played almost everything after the winterstop. Nothing that spectacular but probably because AZ have been...$h!t.

Someone needs to update his Wiki profile. According to that he has made 0 appearances.

I seen him at the U20 WC. I thought he looked very promising. A bit flashy and arrogant looking but very capable. He's been picked as one of the three keepers for their olympic side.

He started terrible though... He caused a lot of penalties at the beginning and he made some other decisive errors...

But, because Boy Waterman (1st goalie) was even more $h!t he got, after the winterbreak, the advantage of the doubt from Louis van Gaal

Anyway Our C1/U14 are champs, B1/U16 finsihed 2nd and our A1/U18 will finish 2nd. Best of all Dutch clubs.

FC Groningen en Roda JC bijna akkoord over Meeuwis

Het is nog slechts een kwestie van tijd voordat FC Groningen en Roda JC een akkoord bereiken over de transfer van middenvelder Marcel Meeuwis.

Aanvankelijk liet de leiding van Roda JC weten niet te willen meewerken aan een vertrek van zijn 27-jarige aanvoerder. Maar dat standpunt is nu veranderd, aangezien de Kerkraadse club de vraagprijs van vijf miljoen euro met een miljoen heeft verlaagd.

Begin deze week voerden de Limburgers verdere onderhandelingen met FC Groningen, dat de biedingen in een eerder stadium nog staakte bij een bedrag van omstreeks drie miljoen euro.

Meeuwis maakte vorige maand bekend dat hij ondanks een nog vier jaar doorlopend contract geen heil ziet in een langer verblijf in Kerkrade. Als reden noemde hij zijn relatie met trainer Raymond Atteveld, die volgens Meeuwis verstoord is geraakt sinds de winterstop.

Naar verluidt ligt voor Meeuwis een contract voor drie of vier seizoenen te wachten in Groningen. In de ogen van trainer Ron Jans is de oud-speler van Willem II en VVV-Venlo de ideale opvolger van Rasmus Lindgren, die tijdens de winterstop naar Ajax vertrok.

Meeuwis is a good signing...but to go from Roda to Groningen..I would have sworn he was coming to us this year. Yes, its an average footballer, but always gives 100% and is a great vacuum cleaner on the midfield.

Well he is a far better signing then Febo Janssen, that's for sure.

The appointment of Blind is a joke. Fits the profile of the TD with no power perfectly. Van Basten is one lucky man with Danny as his ass-licker. Bit weird they forgot at Ajax Danny is 'het scholletje' (some slippery flatfish), he's already planning a sneaky revolution.

Imho he is. His mates are his assistants. Think it will be a bit like when Cruyff managed Ajax. Wasn't all positive those days either. Van Basten will surely piss off a few players too.
