Supersub, or whatever you want to call them.

Who is the most effective of those who've mostly played this season 20 mins at a time?

Statistically its probably Nani or Babel.

I'm pretty happy with the way that Theo has been developing though and he'll certainly have developed a more important role than a super sub by next season

Tevez would have been a good shout, but he starts alot of the games! But when he does come on as a sub, he makes a instant impact. (well in terms of crucial goals.)

From the lists perhaps Nani and Walcott. It's interesting to see that players with abundance of pace, ofcourse logically makes the biggest impact.

Crouch doesnt usually score after coming on as a sub, he causes the typical problems but I wouldn't call him a great impact player.

I'm using the power of club bias to vote for Harewood.

Not a fashionable choice, but his stats are very good - apparently has the 2nd best minutes-per-goal rate after Ronaldo.

(we'll overlook the fact that the majority of his goals have been against teams that were effectively already beaten Smile )

Gotta go with Bent Darren. the most expensive, and therefore the best.

Bentner is a great impact player. Unfortunately his impact works in favor of the opposing teams. He'll even block shots from his own players that are going in. What more could you want from an impact player? <Ale>

Credit where its due, i rate Walcott highly as an impact player - the obvious example to highlight what he can do as one being the assist vs. Liverpool.

The trouble is that Wenger doesn't use him nearly enough. Using Walcott with 5/10 minutes to go against a team who are defending deep and allowing no space behind their defence is never going to work, bringing him on fresh with 25-30 minutes still to play however works far better.

Regardless of Walcotts lack of control, positioning or goalscoring ability, having a player of that kind of pace running at tired legs is a valuable weapon to have.
