Santos are fourth from bottom. Sad

Did you know that Flamengo's leftback Juan was once on the books at Arsenal. I think he only played one game for the club and that was in the FA Cup against Gillingham.

Glad to see he has made a good career for himself. Ale

ohhh, I didnt know that. I love all my Mengo players, so Juan is a brave soldire in my eyes. <Ale>

Yes, Santos are Cr@p this season and Corinthians arent no even in the serie A, but I still think this year will be very hard, I would be in heaven if we could win the League again, but is still too far way.

Juan is great going forward forward. He had two assists in the last game.

Flamengo's most important players are their full backs. IMO you need some improvement up front, Juli.

unfortunately he's right. Glaucio was the best; he was great during training & got so fired up by the homecrowd when he came on as a sub the first time, he got himself sent off the same minute. Completely fucked up thereafter.

The real best Brazilian we had was Leonardo Santiago, but he has been constantly injured the last 8 years or so.

Yep, because we let our 'problemchild' van Persie was allowed to go to Arsenal for close to nothing, we had to find a replacement, so we traded most of our wonership of Fred to get Magrao, who was not only skinny but incredibly average too.

    @julligen

confirms what I thought we've bought an unknown again. Please God, let us be lucky for once...

Leo, you had a partnership with a small club from my hometown called América Mineiro. They had good young players but you chose the wrong ones. You missed the chance to have Fred, Gilberto Silva and others for peanuts. The most strange thing is the fact that it was pretty obvious that they would be very good players. At least Somália was your Champions League hero in 2000!

    Inter Secure Carvalho Loan

    Brazilian League 2008 Capa_danielcarvalho_280708

Sport Club Internacional have completed the signing of CSKA Moscow's Daniel Carvalho on loan.

The Brazilian international played a leading role in the CSKA Moscow squad that lifted the UEFA Cup trophy in 2005, however he has found playing time very hard to come by after a series of injuries that kept him sidelined for several months.

Carvalho, 25, has now agreed to join Internacional, the club he represented before moving to Russia, on a six-month loan.

He is expected in Porto Alegre on Tuesday night to sign a contract with Internacional and the insurance policy requested by CSKA.

Carvalho, who was voted as the best player of the Russian league in 2005, is now hoping that a return to his former club will reignite his career after a disappointing season.

Just read that Socrates, that fantastic player from the World Cup brazilian team from 82' amongst Zico, Júnior, Falcão, Cerezo, Careca and others, wants to become president of Corinthians. After Roberto Dinamite at Vasco da Gama do you think this is becoming the future of football management in Brazil? Do you guys see it as a good move or is it just "na moda" at the moment?

By the way, since all portuguese usually have a soft spot for Vasco...Força Vasco *hides from some posters attacks* Suspect

Vasco é freguês do Flamengo e no atual momento o pior dos carioicas (se bem que o Fluminense tá numa crise também)

Yes, several former players are now becoming Presidents of the clubs and are taking care of their financial problems. Its a good thing, since they look like serious people trying to do the best, lets see if this will work out.

Hey, i have nothing against Mengão or all the others big clubs around there i just sympathise with Vasco because of their roots. Razz

And yes i know they have been going from defeat to defeat in recent years against Flamengo but then again i do not chose clubs by their sucess and i enjoy all good football no matter where they come from so my club sympathies beyond Porto are a little wierd.

By the way, how is Ibson playing at Fla? We ended up loaning him again to you guys. In the league you are going in a strong position, do you think you will win this year? Internacional is signing big recently are they a big threat or it is like Corithians when that big company bought a lot of players with bad results?
