Yup...though I think that his whole Benayoun thing...has came from Benitez saying he will sell players to get his targets (Sell Benayoun to help fund a new bid for Barry). Obviously this would have to be done quickly...or Barry will end up signing a new deal.

Man City want Benayoun too apparently...I'm more ITK than Frank is ...so you can trust me Ale.

The problem Barry has is that the deal between Liverpool and Aston Villa is at a stalemate. They have also just splsashed out £20.3m on Robbie Keane...though they have sold some squad players, and this had paid for the majority of Keane.

After the Villa fans booed Barry...I think he's realised that there is a good chance he'll be stuck at Villa, and that signing a new contract would kind of redeem himself...and make it look like he's come to his senses and changed his mind. I don't think that Liverpool have given up on signing him...which is why if something doesn't happen quick, Barry will sign a new deal with Villa...

Probably will. Thats the kind of c**t he is. Fucks off his fans and his team because he suddenly thinks he's the shizzle then realises he's only better than pizzle rather than the full on shizzle and he's crawling back to the people who he's fucked off.

We had the same with Gerrard going to Chelsea...only he pulled out of it and apologised to Liverpool fans and his team-mates.

The thing is...all the Villa fans applauded him in that Intertoto match, meanining he got a few boos in a friendly against Walsall as punishment for his actions...

After the stuff he came out and said...he'd need to grovel a bit I think.

He got booed by a smaller crowd in a friendly, but got a good reception in the Intertoto home leg when he came on. He's as much in limbo with Villa fans as he is with the whole transfer saga. I'm pretty sure if he signed a new contract it'd soon all be forgotten.

I just want the whole thing sorted. Can't help but think it's distracting from other transfers we need to be doing.

If Aston Villa had a C0ck i'd make him suck it to be honest. Then he'd have to take it aswell. Would he get £1m from them though? Would he f@ck.

I can understand he wanted to move on to a bigger club..but he went about it the wrong way clearly.

As I said...from what I've heard, he's ready to sign a new 3 year contract. I'm not going to say I'm 100% certain on it...as I'm not, but I reckon it's more likely than him moving to Liverpool...

@Borocooper...I think he thought that a move to Liverpool was a certainty, now he probably regrets the comments. It's unusual for a club to stand so firm on their demands...so credit to Villa really.

Who dat? There was some pretty tenuous Arsenal links (if Wenger had any sense, he'd see that it'd be a great signing for them) but no-one else that I know of. No space for him at Utd or Chelsea. Spurs, Newcastle?...why take a step down? As his main reason for moving was CL football, it's Liverpool, Arsenal or nothing (as no foreign club is going to come near him at that price) and the latter's looking most likely at present.

I dont know...I bet someone would put in a cheeky bid though. Man Utd should buy him. He's better than Carrick.

I have to say, i've got to congratulate the clubs who have held firm this summer, its kind of set a precedent, and the clubs involved have won or at least demonstrated some power, and have my respect.

MON and Villa have every right to name their price for Barry, and i won't critise either for standing by their valuation...

My source at WHL says Bentley deal is all done and dusted.

Ramos plans to play a 4-6-0 formation next season.

Bent Darren is off to Sunderland as soon as Jack Charlton finds him an Irish grandmother. Wayne Rooney is also said to be interested in Jack's services.
