Predictable is not the end of the world, if it's still hard to defend against. e.g. Robben. obv Townsend not at that level but he occupies defenders & if he can improve decision making, has plenty of potential. don't think he's ready to be starter til he's more consistent.Luis wrote:Townsend is so predictable, Definitely Aaron Lennon in the making.

Soft goal to concede, first real attack.

Townsend has had the typical hype but he's nothing special. Sums up the culture in this country that people get more excited about yet another speed merchant than Lallana.

Townsend needs to go back to getting down the wing and crossing more spreading defences that's what he was doing then cut in only a few times. He got away from this and is looking predictable for this.Luis wrote:Lallana - 25Brian2468 wrote:What is the ages of Lallana an Townsend
Townsend - 22
Thought Lallana was younger to be honest.
more pace than Downing to be honest. Can't cross as well either.Luis wrote:Fuck me! Just realised who Townsend reminds me of - Stuey Downing. Add a step over to Downing's game and they are the same player!

I watched the game (I'm on work leave). I think Colombia played a little better. In fact, they impressed me. Playing Holland in Holland as an equal is impressive for me, even in a friendly.Fey wrote:Holland played: Cillessen, Vd Wiel, Veltman, Vlaar, Blind, Strootman, Schaars (De Guzman/79), Fer, Lens, De Jong (Narsingh/44), Depay (Van Aanholt/90+2)mongrel hawk wrote:Holland 0-0 Colombia FT

and played with 10 men for an hour. And was still the better team.
As for Belgium....well I blame Fellaini.
Hit the post in the end.Luis wrote:Fuck me! Just realised who Townsend reminds me of - Stuey Downing. Add a step over to Downing's game and they are the same player!
Kroos has a great form for sure. I also like the Bender brothers very much and hope we see a great Gündogan next year. Then everything is possible. but only if Löw concentrates more on the defence and DMs.Kroos wrote:for some reasons the quote button isn`t working
