Infact i've just been looking at the stats, in the league Solano had 2 20 assist seasons, one from just 29 starts, 8 of them were set pieces. In the other season 7 of them were from set pieces, and that was with Robert in the team.

Solano was a steady eddy nothing special but pretty reliable, Lennon has the X-Factor. And that is why he will hit heights Solano never did. 2 assists 1 goal in 3 games. This season looks like being a big one Ale

Solano was a major player within a top four finishing squad.

The spurs fans should only DARE to start comparing Lennon to him when Lennon is a major player within a top four finishing squad ok

I'd say that Solano was better at his peak than any of the current top four's right wing options at the moment (bearing in mind that Chelsea don't really have one)

    In 3 games.

If we're judging players solely on their first three games, Vermeulen is the best centre back the league has ever had.

Firstly, Beye is a really good right back IMO and some of you are vastly underrating him. Didn't he win ligue one player of the year the season before he joined NUFC?

Secondly, technically, N'zogbia IS better than Lennon. He's a far better crosser and a far better shooter, he lacks Lennon's PHYSICAL attributes though (he's not as pacy and doesn't have as much natural balance and agility)

One of the frenchies on here named him in his Ligue 1 XI of the decade aswell. He's no mug.

    ok

Certain posters simply have it in for Johnny Foreigner.

Laughing What if he were Italian and played in Serie A Tweedles. Thinks abouts it Ale

Maybe, just maybe it's because X Y and Z play for Spurs and not Newcastle, hence Kimbo thinks the sun shines out of their proverbial arses.

So N Zogbia is better than Lennon based purely on potential ability and not on stats,

but Solano was also better than Lennon, based on the stats.

Which is it gonna be? Let's just accept that Kimbo will NEVER rate Lennon, end of.

And 20 assists in one season is fantastic. But reel in your high horse Kimbo - of course taking corners and free kicks is going to help those stats. Lennon is clearly not as productive as Solano, based on Carling's lovely little numbers,

but then Lennon is 21 and Solano is retired. And no one said Lennon was better, infact TS said Solano was better in his comparison, and yet you STILL won't apologise. Very very naughty Ale

Well it's a fact that he was one of the most creative players in the league. Are you going to argue with facts?
