He reminds me of Houtman, similar strikers, both good headers, both just below Dutch national team level. Like them both.

Salcido in for the terrible pieters. Salcido is not much an improvement since he is the most overrated defender in the world. Rutten saw that correct.

Fellaini scores from Baines free kick, 1-1. 3 minutes earlier we switched to 4-2-3-1, with Jo as left midfielder, Billy as right and Yakubu as lone striker.

I wouldn't mind him being the new VoH. I like having a striker good at heading on the bench. He's more a crowbar type than Rabbitface anyway.

Wasn't that clear, was talking about the starting 11.

not really a miss, Simons, 1 of the most boring footballers ever, doesn't mean he's useless. Good man for set pices, apart from that he mobs up a lot sitting in front of his own defence.

Ft Psv - cluej 1-0 great game . Deserved win by fred ruttens team. He formed already a great team.... well done rutten good work. It looks like he is going to do the same job he did for fc twente.

Twente of today would never be so good if rutten wasn't the coach the last couple of years..

True, but McClaren deserves credit 2 for not fucking it up (changing every thing), like a lot of other managers would have done & for making them even a tad better with worse players. Still it's Rutten's framework.

shame on Fulham fans. I'm at Craven Cottage for tonight's game and there about 30 of them bothered to make the trip.

FC Basle fans are REALLY noisy, stadium announcer reminded everyone this was a non smoking stadium, then repeated it in French, FC Basle fans almost took the roof off with their boo-ing!

Rapid Vienna are already winning against Celtic! They had already had one chance before that as well. Horrendous defensive line from the Scots.
