I think they're suffering from a lot of injuries, particularly in midfield. That may have forced them to play with this formation. At least they should be more attacking with the players they've got in the team.

I hope McLaren is watching this 'cos Glenn Johnson is playing quite well and he just took on 2 players in the Charlton box and got a great cross in.

That's the kind of attacking play you need from the right back if you want to play Gerrard out wide. He's supplying great width Ale

Portsmouth are playing well, had a couple of good chances in the last few minutes. Kanu just missed a really good chance from a header at the back post.

We've got someone for that already. Surprised

End of the season, Darren Bent needs to move on, to either a top 4 - 6 club.

Bent to a top 4-6 club at the end of the year....Hmmm then maybe Portsmouth................Wink
I like the crisp passing and there balanced 4-4-2 is much better than the 4-3-3 of Charlton

Good shot from Lua Lua but I think Carson should have done better. It wasn't the most powerful shot and having got a hand to it he should have been able to push it away.

I haven't seen the replay, but I thought Carson was fairly unsighted. Given the amount of saves he's made already this season to them in contention in most matches, I'd give him the benefit of the doubt.

    Prefers Euell it would seem.

Most likely because Yak seems to prefer playing on his own...and Euell can play in midfield.

Then if it doesnt work just chuck Viduka on for the last half hour or so.

You'd still pick him for England?

Whilst I think he's in front of Dawson, I still think now its time to look at the future. He'll be 33 in 2008.

Still got a year or two...As for the England squad on age I agree on form even Dawson has to be pushed to get in the squad to keep it competitive......Hopefully by the end of the season Woodgate will be pushing for England .

Crying or Very sad I have no idea what the hell the team formation is. There appears to be no RB, unless Haim is filling in there. I have to listen to Gilette soccer saturday.
