1655: FULL-TIME West Ham 0-2 Newcastle
A good day for Newcastle who score their first goal away from home since April, keep a first clean sheet of the season and, most importantly, pick up three points to leapfrog West Ham in the table.
congrats on the win newcastle now i just hope u beat liverpool in mid week!

Sounds like it's kicked off at the Newcastle match, West Ham fans surround the Newcastle bench accusing ROEDER of mocking them(i'm sure he's had worse from them). And Harewood takes out Given with a Thatcher-esque move and gets away with it.

Great win though, hopefully Martins and Duff can kick on from here.

Oh right, I'll fix it...so when is Taylor coming back? No coincidence that Newcastle keep a clean sheet once Bramble is out!

Well he SHOULD have been back for this game, maybe he's being saved for the midweek game against Liverpool. They're a very physical side though so we'll want him 100%. If Bumble comes back into the team i'll be pissed, Ramage > Bumble.

Definitely. I think Bramble's mere presence just unsettles the entire defence and gives opposition strikers more confidence.

Re: Todays Premiership thread
I'm really pleased for Roeder.
He may not have done that well at WHU but as a lifelong fan it would hardly be down to a lack of effort - some of the stick he took was ridiculous.
The poor man's Totti ruined the team spirit but the fans loved him and always took his side.
Yep they took the side of someone who used to miss away games v big teams when he didn't fancy it over a lifelong fan.
The bottle through his daughter's bedroom window was disgusting too.
Predictably some will say the Argies have messed WHU up - they haven't.
They only beat Charlton due to a stupid sending off from Traore and were poor away to 'pool and Watford before they joined - 2nd season syndrome I think.
Pleased for Martins and Duff - entertaining and inoffensive players.
* Kimbo - why did Newcastle not go after Joleon Lescott in the summer ?!

There's a million defenders we could and should have gone for. Roeder obviously had faith in Bumble after his end of season form last year(understandable i suppose). One thing's for certain we'll be buying defenders when the window opens again, hopefully it'll involve Bridge.

Re: Todays Premiership thread
Fucksake! We badly needed the 3 points today, at home to Fulham with injuries and we still couldnt conjure up a win.
Lack of cutting edge and pace undone us today.....We don't have that zip in the final ball to open up chance's....and it doesn't help playing 4 central defenders across the midfield....
Dissapointing result......Anyways....Liverpool Away next week away...should be easy 3 points......

The way both of us are playing it should be a kick start to one of our seasons. That game always seems to throw up some good goals aswell - Garcia, Hyypia's and Edman's 2 years ago. Kewell's last year.
Hopefully we'll get the win and carry on from there next week. We're still unbeaten at home, after all

You'll kick start your season against Newcastle on Wed ( Which I anticipate a Euroboard Grudge match)...and untill we give you a footballing lesson next week...
On a serious level, the way we are playing....I'll be v happy with a point next week at anfield...

Re: Todays Premiership thread
I'll cry if we lose, or don't even win, against Newcastle. Kimbo's gloating would be unbearable. Though the fact that they'll get relegated will numb the pain, but that's months away.
