The dominance of Barca and Madrid seems to be getting more pronounced every year. Do you think this will change in the (near) future?

We had a big discussion about this the other day. If you look at the history of Spanish football it's not really any more pronounced than any other point in time. Valencia and Sevilla both have squads that should be far closer to the top two than 18 and 26 points respectively.

Particularly Valencia and Atletico, if they can come through their new stadium deals in one piece they should have more resources to build their squads. Sevilla, maybe a new manager would help?

    Cheers. ok

I think it's a shame. I really enjoy watching La Liga (despite the occasional silly theatrics), but it was better when Madrid and Barca both lost a few games unexpectedly, perhaps even one or two at home. I don't even care if they win all of the titles, but at least let 2-3 other teams be in there for a while to keep it interesting.

Yeah, I mean it would definitely be better like this. Sevilla and Villarreal have been close(r) in recent years. But there is no reason a team including David Villa, Juan Mata, David Silva, Pablo, Joaquin, Carlos Marchena, etc. should be so far off the pace. Their away form has been pathetic though. Same for Sevilla - a team loaded with international calibre players: Luis Fabiano, Kanoute, Negredo, Jesus Navas, Squillaci, Escude, Palop...there is no good reason they should lose points at home to the likes of Xerez, who have been relegated since Christmas, but they have done consistently this season. Atletico - if they could just be bothered to buy have decent defenders instead of putting out sh!t like Luis Perea, Tomas Ujfalusi, Pablo, etc. year after year after year they could be a good too. Villarreal definitely lost their way without Pellegrini and Senna and Cazorla have both been injured for large periods in the season otherwise they would be closer, I think.

Dude how many times has been in a great position and lost the ball without doing anything with it now? 3 so far in the second half all should have resulted in at least a chance for someone or a shot for himself.

A little luck plus lack of positional sense in our defence leaks a needless goal..
