If we win on Saturday (at Forest) and Tuesday (at Bristol City) we would go into the automatic spot

When we got promoted in 1999 there were only 2 in the starting XI who seemed good enough for PL (Hyde and Johnson).

When we got promoted in 2006 there were only 2 in the starting XI who seemed good enough for PL (King and Young).


Were we to get promoted this season - it looks as though 6 of the starting XI are good enough (Almunia, Ekstrand, Abdi, Battochio, Chalobah*, Vydra) with 2 more possibles in Pudil and Deeney (better than Graham or Holt IMO so why not?) + Fessi on the bench

Now that is unusual because when you got promoted in 06 you had Bouazza and described him as one of the best wingers in the premiership.. Strange that you've left him out.

Leeds need to throw money at this man, he's so valuable to them. I know they're conscious of Financial Fair Play, but what effect can that have on them. Can the football league deduct points if their expenses are higher than there income?

It's all explained there, a club can't receive any sort of sanction in the first 2 years of FFT (started this year). Championship club is allowed a maximum of a 4Mil loss in their profit/loss report at the end of the year. Then decreases to 3M maximum loss by the 2015.16 season.

No, I may have described him as that while we were actually in the PL following his performances v Arsenal, Man U and WHU.

I was talking about my view of our players when we got promoted.
