The best football sides have quality players, but also a clear strategy, making them greater than the sum of their parts. Neither United nor City have achieved this in 2012/13, and although Sunday's game will be packed with excellent footballers and probably plenty of goals, it won't be a contest between two great teams – the Premier League currently doesn't have any.

Sad that it's nowhere near his best effort this season, after we won at their place:

"They gave us four minutes [injury time], that's an insult to the game, absolutely ridiculous. It denies you a proper chance to win a football match."

    Very Happy

United will win tomorrow. City have been lucky this season - most of their league games they've been unimpressive but managed to win it late on. Mancini really needs to go soon or United will cost their way to the title.

Rafa pretty much has to win today but Sunderland is a ground that will haunt him (Beach ball)

Think we'll draw; no Striker sums up how fucked we are because of deadline day.

Gervinho has just scuffed a chance wide after confusion from a corner. The keeper was out of position and covering back, and they had a player or two on the line, but it was a poor effort from Gervinho from a very presentable chance. WBA currently down to ten with Ridgewell struggling already with an injury.

Well Rafa was brought in to get Torres scoring; 3 goals in 2 games isn't bad.

Chelsea fans will never take to him but while he's there and they're winning and playing well why with the Di Matteo chants?

Chelsea's self-inflicted problems are just about the only amusement I get from football now.

Having said that, Arsenal have a penalty. A very soft one, by the look of it as well.

Arteta converts it with a cool finish. Arsenal have done most of the early running, but that looks like a very fortunate goal.

Err, they got 2 fortunate home draws against Man City and Fulham, then were dicked by West Ham. I don't think wins against Nordjealland and Sunderland is going to turn opinion around.

A draw vs City, a team you bigged up as the English Barca the other day, isn't a bad result. Fulham home, sure and West Ham was poor. What do you expect though? So much negativity effects the players, but when Chelsea play well and are winning is that not Rafa doing a good job?

Lets blatantly make things up. ok

It's pretty much universally accepted that Chelsea made a dumb decision by sacking DiMatteo, not only was it a poor decision, it was an insulting one, a fan favourite was treated like crap, and a man that once vowed never to manage Chelsea was hired to replace him. The fans can say what the fuck they like about it, and I don't see why wins against some random european team and Sunderland should shut them up.

Played really well in first half, but can't get the breakthrough. Maybe this is the game to reintroduce Bent - we're getting the ball in the box, but need the finishing touch.

Stoke don't seem to have anything to offer, other than looking potentially threatening in set-pieces.

Clark a bit lucky right at the end not to be booked or worse. Dived in rather recklessly.
