Manchester's winning goal: Clichy gave the ball away, Van Persie took the free kick, Nasri deflected it past Hart.

Yet he got hit by a coin from a City fan, and City fans are claiming he was celebrating in front of them. I am skeptical.

Yeah same...I just read that it was. Though it's not unthinkable that he could be in front of United fans and have something thrown at him by a nearby City fan. They're close together...it'd be like celebrating in front of the away fans at St James'..you're still in front of the home fans.

That City fan is an absolute god. Must have been a BOSS throw if Ferdinand did celebrate in front of those united inbreds.
I can't see Ferguson leaving the Tevez kick at the end alone either, cue 5 match ban demand.

Nice finish for his goal, but can't help feeling that his introduction coincided with Liverpool turning to shit in that game.

That corner behind the goal United were shooting into in the second half - where they all ran to - is the away end at the Etihad. The bank adjacent to the pitch to the right are then City fans.
Rio was CLEARLY celebrating with the Manchester United fans. But then, even if he wasn't, if you're a fan who goes to a game and cannot handle seeing opposition players celebrating in front of you, to the point you throw stuff and then attempt to get onto the pitch - you probably should be staying at home
I know it's popular to slate Manchester United, particularly on here given the number of Liverpool fans, but what happened to Ferdinand was a feckin' disgrace.
Hit by a coin and then also attacked by a fan coming onto the pitch. Fair play to Joe Hart for pulling him away.
I put it to our resident Liverpool fans: imagine that coin had been thrown by an Everton fan at at Suarez for celebrating in front of the Everton bench during the game at Goodison, followed up with someone running onto the pitch in an attempt to physically confront him. You'd all be - quite rightly - going hysterical about it

Mancini blames balo and nasri:

Disco Benny wrote:So does cazorla’s dive now make him as despicable as Bale in the eyes of All Arsenal Fans (allez)?
Mhm, would you like to rephrase that in a way that makes sense? Sounds like you is getting as sensitive to any form of criticism as some of those thankfully departed mancscum used to be.
I never said I hated Bale, although I acknowledge that he is probably one of the least likeable of your currently disappointingly unloathsome bunch of players. Just said that as a diver and a chap coming across as increasingly big for his boots (with every right to be you might say), he was perfectly fair game to be compared to the likes of Suarez, who I don't hate either. Gerrard might be a terrible diver too but that's not really why I despise him.
(I think one of Luis's very best agendas is the filthy foreigners one – there's an absolute witchhunt for every Eduardo/Cazorla/Suarez situation whereas Gerrard or Owen's entire careers are laughed off. Perhaps it will be different with Bale, perhaps it is because he is a Welsh. You is all well racialist anyway.)
I thought that was a very good dive from Cazorla, in real time it was very difficult to see what was going on, and it looked as though as he twisted and turned the defender stuck a foot out which knocked him off balance.
Fuck I wrote a response before seeing that SG had already put it far better
"To be fair, Bale is despicable for a number of reasons: his Welshness, his heart celebration, his diving. Cazorla is very likeable aside from diving, and even that he can't really help, on account of his being a foreigner."

@Allez - good, you bit: shows you're paying attention
That statement was not to be taken too seriously. It's what we call hashtag Bantz in the industry.
Rest assured, I'm fully aware Bale is a diver and that I'm not personally related to him.
He is, however, merely a diver. Same as Cazorla.
Not an assaulter of men, a philanderer of women, an eater of children or an aggrevator of ethnicities.
That is all my point ever was.
His only TRUE despicable act was being born in Wales. Which is actually not much worse than Cazorla resembling that utter c**t singer from Hear'say (yes, that's going back some time now)

Rio wanted a quid, doesn't he realise that a heavier coin would hurt more?
Suarez would probably have got a yellow card for complaining about it. He would then have thrown it back into the crowd and earned himself a ban.

There are better ways of trying to harm Rio than throwing coins at him though. Just go on Twitter and read his barely literate ramblings, he's doing it all on his own.

I thought Germans were comfortable forgetting what happened in the past?
You sir, on the otherhand, have a memory like an elephant.
I cannot remember this particular altercation you speak of (from which I gained the intellectual upper hand no doubt), although I was deluded enough to think Rio seemed okay at one point back in the day, prior to becoming a such vocal numb-nut on social media. So it's very possible. Is it too late to offer you an unreserved apology?

I think it was coz you is a bit too PC innit and had, for my taste, an unnecessarily high regard for his experiences of racism and thus right to take on a role of guru in such matters. Since then of course we've had the likes of Peter Herbert and perhaps the nadir of Rio daring to criticize Cameron (of whom I am of course scarcely a fan) for saying some strong words on the Serbia racism issue, on the grounds that we should "get our own house in order first" or some such.
So no apology needed, it is far more gratifying to see people come round to a view they have previously ridiculed me for
(it happens to me not infrequently)

OK, he hasn't exactly trailblazed his way into the Arsenal and England teams in recent weeks, but fair to say he's more of a regular than not innit. The Hungarian Oracle is 99.9% of the time right, all the time

Agree re Rio.
Having said that if a fan had caught Rooney (yesterday) or hernandez (Chelsea away) flush in the face with a brick I would have had no complaints.
People say - what about the abuse they take ? Yeah those Chelsea songs about Hernandez are beyond the pale - come on, you've all heard them
More importantly re Rio's performances yesterday and at Anfield - "purely footballing reasons"
Set-pieces aside, it amazes me how many people think United's defence rather than their "midfield" is the problem.
City always look like they are impersonating a footballing side (badly).
They get it it down and play but they move it around so slowly and deliberately that they can never catch the opponents defence out of position.
