I don't know why i'm responding to you seriously but I will. We play more long balls than any team in the league, despite clearly not having the players for it, and from interviews with coaches it is clear that that is our game plan, it's no accident. Teams like Wigan, Fulham, and Southampton have passed it around us with ease. A manager with some tactical sense would get something out of players like Ben Arfa, Coloccini, Santon, Cabaye, and Anita, there is clearly plenty of "football" in the team.

I think the telling point with Pardew was when he had the opportunity to scrap the 4-4-2 when Cisse got injured, but instead he sticks in Ameobi.
